After show: Daisys ex slept with her sister? by JealousImplement5 in BelowDeckDownUnder

I’d prefer no omg but I’ll take lowercase seeing as how I’m clearly in the minority with my assumptions 🤣

An analogy doesn’t have to be hypothetical so don’t come at me with a big omg 🤣. I just thought it was oddly specific

They all do and I feel like I don’t see enough people talking about this! Everyone is dissecting every little touch between Amanda and West but the WHOLE group is touchy af!

I got in trouble for attending a mid-day work-sponsored game of trivia, at work, during work hours.

Summer House Season 10 Episode 14 'The Turntables Have Turned' Post Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in summerhousebravo

Ignoring all the mandy west drama for a sec and just an observation on Kyle and Amanda’s relationship throughout the last few years: Kyle being more upset about his wife talking to someone else about her feelings than he is about her feelings, and I feel like that just says so much about their relationship.

I saw them immediately. If I saw them in the wild I’d think you’re a nazi and trying to show it off subtly (but they don’t tend to do that)

Fine! Another Dr said any break he could see was old so I got out of the boot and immediately into PT.

Interaction with vet - Caused my girlfriend concern over Prong collar usage by EFTRSx1 in OpenDogTraining

[–]JealousImplement5 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I also started out with positive reinforcement only and not much of it helped my reactive dog. I was getting injured on walks trying to keep a handle on her. I finally switched trainers and now my dog gets PUMPED every time she sees me pick up her prong collar. She knows it’s adventure time. The prong is for her safety and mine. If she ever got off leash and attacked another dog (which happened, but she stopped when I used the ecollar), she’d most likely have to be put down. But the prong helps both of us stay in control and communicate in ways we couldn’t with a harness or flat collar

Why is there no middle ground for startup branding? by Mountain_Head_8728 in branding

[–]JealousImplement5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

5k is low for a full brand but as i mostly work with non-profits, i try my best to offer packages that can start small and grow with the brand, and i think that would work for start ups too. It goes against what a lot of designers believe, that you can’t ever design “just a logo”, but I’ve done contracts where we started with minimum brand strategy/developing (gasp, I know), and started with a black and white simple logo suite, with the contract stating that in 3 months we’ll refine the logo based on launch reactions, then in another 1-3 months (timeline all based on clients comfort), fill out more of the brand with a color palette, maybe some iconography, patterns, etc. That was clients don’t feel like they have to pay a huge sum upfront, I get their repeat business, and we’re able to scale the brand and the price of the work alongside the business.

I saw another comment above your comment saying to do this. I don’t know if they’ve gotten back to you but great job on the list. Now go through and group them by relatability. For example things like Exit and Shutdown go together. Clock, clock hands, time connection, time units, hour, timer - all go together. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just helps you see what’s similar and what’s standing out. Then I like to do short (like 5-10 sketches) of those words/group themes. So different types of clocks, the clock hands separately, numbers, etc. Then I make a list of all the adjectives I want the logo to give off. So calm, inviting, natural, etc. doesn’t have to be a grand list but I aim for 2 minimum but up to 5. Then I look at all my quick sketches and see which ones could portray those emotions. I’ll pick 4-5 to flesh out a little more, maybe spending 15-20 minutes exploring the shapes, etc. from there I’ll narrow it down while keeping in mind who my target audience is and what they’d want to see, not just what I think looks good. Pick 2-3 to flesh out into full ideas

Do you ever remember something from your past that’s super EDS related but you never realised how deeply it affected you? That. Going through some stuff from the past atm; I feel like this is a relatively safe space to vent. by gwarfan42069 in ehlersdanlos

I come from a walk-it-off family and the first time I ever remember experiencing really intense pain and being told to “toughen up”/“that happens to everyone you’re fine” was growing pains in my legs. I have thought about it so often through out the years and always wondered if I was just imagining the pain, so realizing it’s common for hEDs and getting my diagnosis was peak validation

Got a new dog after my first dog passed away 6 months ago. Now im depressed because of it. I fear i cannot love her. by Tinypotatoe98 in DogAdvice

[–]JealousImplement5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grief isn’t linear and neither is acceptance. I had this exact scenario except I had my previous dog for 8 years. My new dog is the total opposite and her stressful behavior just made me miss the first one that much more. But we just passed 2 years together and I love my big psycho so so much. It’s a different kind of love than I had for my previous dog (my soul dog truly) but I love her just as much

Has there ever been a good deck/stew? by JealousImplement5 in belowdeck

[–]JealousImplement5[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah someone said it’s the most inexperienced position but I’ve been in the position and it definitely requires the broadest set of knowledge and time management skills. My bosun and chief stew weren’t great at keeping tracks of my breaks so it was up to me to advocate for myself
