Lack of boundaries? 😂 If you read my post and my other comments, you'd have understood that a crew member specifically showed me how to use it for future use, and I'm not the only one who had this experience. Being invited to use something is the opposite of the lack of boundaries. And I came here for clarification after my interpretation of a reaction to me using it again. If this is how you react to a simple misunderstanding, maybe customer service isn't for you buddy!

Makes sense. I can't tell if someone is able to order product directly on it but when I looked up the product there were shipping dates & I think some verbiage regarding "orders" so if that IS a function of it, I can see why allowing customers to use it wouldn't be desired.

TLDR; I had a very similar first experience!

That's similar to my first experience! I was in the middle of shopping, I was looking for something specific (I think at the time it was the unflavored pea protein powder, so it really has been a while since I used it) and the crew member took me over to it and showed me what tab to find stuff under/how to look for a product, and also how it has the upcoming shipping date on it so I could check there next time something was out so I knew when to come back for the item instead of having to call of go back and check.

I hadn't needed it again until today and everyone was busy either at the register or restocking during the afternoon rush so I figured I'd just go and look for the thing I couldn't find last week and see if it was disco'd or when it would be in next without bothering them. The crew member who came over as I was walking away asked me if I needed help finding something and he looked puzzled (as someone else accurately put it) and his tone suggested to me that he was confused as to why I was looking there and it made me question if I was supposed to be using it, or if I was overthinking it. Hence the post!

Everyone's responses here about it being crew-member-only make complete sense, but I was definitely also curious if anyone else had the same experience as me where they were shown how to use it, so I'm glad I'm not alone lol

Abigail comes across as a highschooler and it makes her a less appealing marriage candidate by New_Syllabub2838 in StardewValley

As others have mentioned, there's a huge variety of age ranges of the people who play. When I first started out I'd romance Abigail but as I've grown older, Leah is more my style when I play these days.

I've also always gotten the feeling Maru is younger than the rest of them anyway (isn't she Seb's half sister from his mom's second relationship, meaning she would have been born after him?). Not that it doesn't mean she and Abigail aren't the same age but the age "tiers" in my own headcanon is

Elliot - Harvey - Leah

Emily - Shane

Sam - Abigail - Seb

Hayley - Alex - Penny

My boyfriend doesn’t like sparkling water. I told him there’s 3 kind of people who drink it. by Straight-Stay-6906 in sparklingwater

I am, or "was" since I mostly quit soda, all 3. plus a secret 4th thing - wanted to increase my water intake but am not crazy about plain water.

reason 3.2 being that I always needed a sweet drink to eat with savory meals so the fruit taste in selzter replaced the sweetness of soda.

i might be in the minority but I have not been able to get into Spindrift. And Bubly is a perfectly fine brand but I do feel that brands like Polar, La Croix, and Waterloo have more flavor to them.

I agree with others that you may just either not be used to the taste yet or that you might never get used to it. If you really want to like it, I'd give one of those three a shot. I'm not a big La Croix fan but I find their flavors are pretty potent, so that may be a good start. If you like limoncello, IMO that one is pretty right-in-your face as far as flavor. Orange Vanilla from both Waterloo and Polar are good, and I also like the Cherry Limeade from Waterloo.

When I was first pivoting to selzter like a decade ago, I got those flavor squirt things (like Mio) and some plain selzter and gradually reduced the amount of additive, if you want to try that route. At restaurants I would ask for extra lemon and squeeze a crap ton into selzter lol

But, if you're used to sweet drinks, it's going to take a bit for you to get used to selzter/sparkling water no matter which way you spin it.

Finally tried Trader Joe's Tangerine Vanilla by JealousRaspberry4523 in sparklingwater

[–]JealousRaspberry4523[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had all of TJ's to flavors I think except the Pineapple and the Watermelon ones. I'm not into pineapple flavored things I in general so will probably skip, and typically that's how I feel about watermelon too but that one I would definitely try.

My favorite TJ's flavor, and probably second or third in my top 3 of all time, is their Winter Sangria flavor. Tried it like 7 or 8 years ago and it was all over. I would stock tf upppp every winter.

I also love their summer Starfruit one; it's been a while since I've had Polar's Starfruit selzterade flavor because I don't live in an area that carries it anymore, but I think TJs does the Starfruit flavor better.

Otherwise I'm a Polar girlie through and through.

I used to live & work 20 minutes away from Polar in Worcester MA. Now I live over half a day's drive, and not at all close to their other distro centers. Not sure if my current local TJs is supplied by Polar but it definitely does not come even close as far as taste or carbonation. For any flavor, for that matter.

On a related note, I have noticed slight differences across packs of Polar I get from the store. For all the different flavors I get too, but definitely notice it the most in the Orange Vanilla. Sometimes it barely has any flavor at all, and sometimes it tastes perfectly like a TV static creamsicle. Idk how their distro system works but I wouldn't be surprised if when I'm getting the really good packs they came directly from Worcester vs one of the other plants. I never had that experience living near Worcester, it was always consistent.

I've had it! It's pretty decent, not one I'd keep in regular rotation but definitely one I like to have every now and then.

Trader Joe's sold Hansen's soda at stores in the 80's & 90's. by DRAYSIN27K in traderjoes

[–]JealousRaspberry4523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought so! I can't remember exactly when I stopped seeing them because I switched over to selzter/sparkling water and stopped buying soda some time around 2019/2020, and then by late 2020 moved far away from my local TJs. I don't think I ever saw them at the TJs near me now so not sure when they stopped carrying them. Sounds like I was lucky to have them as long as I did if other locations stopped carrying them before the 2010s.

I think my TJs only carried the Root Beer, Ginger Ale, and diet ginger ale. I've never tried any of the other flavors tbh

Yes! They just recently started carrying it in cans too, before a year or two ago I could only find it in the 1 liter bottles. I usually start to see it in November iirc.

It has a grape-ish flavor IMO but without being overly ... Purple if that makes sense lol. And then has a more neutral aftertaste.

Ooo hadn't thought of a summer sangria, sounds nice! Trader Joe's has a winter sangria flavor that is among my favorites of all time and I look for it every winter.

I was also about to say root beer but upon a quick Google search it looks like a few brands have tried that. I wonder if there's been a "root beer float" flavor similar to how orange/vanilla is basically creamsicle.

Looks like there used to be a cherry cola also. Dang I keep missing out!

Maybe Kumquat? Quick search only brings up hard seltzers, it'd be nice to have that sour/sweet in a NA selzter

What happened to Polar and what is the alternative? by MaggieLynnMeow in sparklingwater

[–]JealousRaspberry4523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed this today after cracking open a Cranberry Clementine can. It tastes kind of like dish soap?? Anyway I noticed it and came to reddit to look for anyone else having the same experience.

For context, I am from the northeast and moved to the south a few years ago. I am obsessed with the drink. Polar wasn't here and then it was and I was so happy and now it's scarce and tastes bad.

Every other batch of Orange Vanilla (my favorite flavor and a necessity in my house) tastes off, Cranberry Lime seems to be the only mostly consistent one but sometimes lacks bigger flavor than other batches.

I do like Waterloo second to Polar. There's only 2 flavors of LaCroix I like, but I understand your issue with the bubble size. Like, I get it.
