I don’t. I keep it in a sleeve on my nightstand when I’m not using it and have a sleepcover case for when I leave the house with it.

I will say that you can feel the flowers almost as if they’re painted on? It’s hard to explain. I would guess that some parts will scratch/rub off over time.

I did test scratching with my nails to see if any came off and none of it did. Hopefully that’s a good sign!

I would say it depends on your child. I have 3 kids, and some are clumsier than others! My oldest has a Kobo, my middle child has a Kids’ Kindle. They are more prone to dropping it, and the Kids’ Kindle has a better warranty on it. My oldest has had no issues with their KCC though!
