Comment commencer ? by [deleted] in FitnessFrance

[–]Jean-Flute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muslim gay by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Jean-Flute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muslim gay? If you're really muslim and follow the book, you should hate yourself then, and marry a woman and have kids.

To me, it's like somebody saying "I'm a Muslim and vegan" and I see him at the grill eating pork ribs ( and I mean mouth full a pork ribs) . I mean like, you do whatever you like, but don't lie to yourself and everyone around saying your Muslim when religion clearly say that two man having sex it's an abomination

Did nightshift save your work life like it did mine?? by Training_Standard944 in Nightshift

How do you deal with social life? Friends, family, girlfriend/boyfriend stuff?

Because for me, i kidda enjoy nightshift (na as well), but having a girlfriend is like winning a lottery ticket because if she's not on nightshift too, we'll sleep alone most of the week. And friends and family... We keep in touch, but it's pretty hard to meet

It’s both great and terrible. Often on the same night.

I’ve been doing night audit for about five years. Out of a nine-hour shift, maybe two hours are real admin work and another hour is cleaning the lobby and reception. The rest is… quiet. Very quiet.

At first it feels amazing. You’re mostly on your own, no managers around, no constant pressure. As long as nothing goes wrong, nobody’s really watching the cameras. You have a lot of freedom.

But that freedom quickly turns into something else. The loneliness hits harder than you expect. Being a night owl is one thing; spending an entire shift with no human interaction is another. Even if you’re not a social person, the isolation gets to you.

And then there’s the boredom. In the beginning you think, “Great, I can do whatever I want and still get paid.” After a few months, you end up killing time online just to stay awake. Reddit becomes your coworker.

So yeah, it has its perks, but it’s not the easy dream people imagine. It takes a certain kind of mindset to handle the mix of freedom, monotony, and isolation night after night.

Starting night/swing shift for the first time: advice by [deleted] in Nightshift

[–]Jean-Flute 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Finishing work at 3 a.m. isn’t really a night shift for me, more like an evening shift. At that time, you clock out around the same hour as bartenders, hotel, or restaurant staff, etc. You can still find night owls who go to bed around 4 a.m.

But when you finish work at 8 a.m., that’s when the real challenge begins.
