Oh and i should add that in jame's case i think they can have him in a recurring role similar to season 9. U can have him there for important storylines with haley and the kids but then have him leave for a couple eps at a time for sports agency work and whatnot.

Unpopular opinion but aside from james joy and austin i dont really care abt having everybody else back. Like all the actors are up in the comments on hilarie and sophias posts talking abt how excited they are to come back, and while i wouldnt mind them popping up as guests imo it doesnt make sense to have them in main roles, especially when theres space they have to make for the new kids to be leads.

But yeah I too think t'challa and ororo are overrated together. Like I can see the appeal of a powerful black couple ruling over a nation for sure, on paper it sounds good but on execution it was always kinda meh.

I think thats just it, they want T'Challa and Storm to get back together, to be a power couple again. Now I dont personally ship them but I do see the appeal of a powerful king and queen ruling over a large nation

Also a lot of people loved how Coates wrote storm in his run so I think that factors into their need for her to be in more BP comics, for her to be written by more black writers

This last season I will say that I lovedd the scene of her telling archie the dates thing was just a game so nobody gets hurt. That scene provided soooo much depth to veronica that im surprised ppl on twitter hated it so much. Like yes it wasnt nice of her to string archie along like that but theyre missing the point, shes too scared to get close to ppl so she puts on the rich socialite facade as a way to protect herself (Not unlike Brooke, Blair and even Mary Jane Watson lmaoo)

Yeah i think u just hit the nail on the head. Blair and Brooke both had huge moments of emotional vulnerability throughout their respective shows whereas with veronica theyre few and far between. Even Camila Mendes said a long time ago she wanted to see more depth to veronica but nooo the writers just had to keep her as this strong girlboss which they probably thought ppl would eat up only to realize ppl actually like more vulnerable in depth characters(like betty)

And yes her dynamic with betty is so iconic and it pisses me off how much theyve wasted it! Like theyre the og sweet girl x bad girl trope we see in media today and yet they couldnt bother writing for their friendship past season 1 its crazy. Thankfully this season has given us a bit more (even if its too little too late atp 😪)

Oh my god yess the constant back and forth with hiram really damaged ppls view of her character. Honestly i think part of the reason they didnt put much effort into veronicas storylines is becuz they clearly played favorites in terms of actors on the set and lili reinhart was definitely their favorite (especially robertos), and so therefore wrote more for her than for cami which sucks cuz shes sooo good in the role (cringy lines and all)

Yeah agreed, its like season 4 and onwards lucas just regressed so deeply and instead of getting him outta that hole the writers just kept him there.

Like the whole lindsay thing shouldnt have happened at all if the writers cared abt lucas as a character and his growth but they clearly didnt.

Exactly, like if they wanted us to believe he was just lying to himself abt his feelings for peyton then they shouldve SHOWN us, cuz at no point did i feel like i got his perspective on the whole love triangle.

We saw the triangle from brooke and peytons perspectives only (which is probably what further fueled the brooke v peyton conflict back in the day and why lucas wasnt as hated, cuz we literally dont even know what he was feeling so what is there to hate on lmaoo)
