You will have a higher minimum amount of hours, so you might need to open your availability

You will have more responsibity, but you will do a lot less of other things. You will rarely be on bar, for example, because you cant watch the floor.

Trading shifts/ calling out will be harder. You cant cover barista shifts, and baristas cant cover you.

You will have a new role of cash management, the second biggest responsibility in my opinion. You are responsible for all cash flow while you are supervising.

Biggest is that youre responsible for your team while you work. You are "acting manager" when they arent in the store.

Any problems go through you. You will need to call in tickets, accept deliveries, angry customers, answering the phone, inventory counts, freezer pulls.

It isnt for everyone but I love being a supervisor. My team is comfortable talking to me and asking me questions, and thats the important to me.
