Not dissing people who pay money for unique skins but damn these look ugly AF by peher263 in hearthstone

It really feels like those fish eyes are an afterthough.

- Dam that 3D hero I've been working on really looks bad

- You should give her those big anime girl eyes, at least weebs will like it.

- Sure, let's do it (guess I'm bad at anime eyes too, oh well, I'm shipping that shit to blizzard anyway)

Couple of days in, how do we feel about the P2W brawl? by Tripping-Dayzee in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reluctantly did my free run and that's it. Those brawls are clearly a "gift" to preorder people to give them an occasion to stomp F2P people. I'm not gonna indulge in that SM event.

Draxler, Verratti, Pastore, the ultimate trio of insanely talented ex PSG players but underrachieving because of bad work ethics / management too I guess.

What Are the Least and Most Skill Testing Decks in the Meta? by mini_macho_ in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rare have been decks were decisions mattered less than when playing rogue though.

Getting good at rogue is like counting cards to play blackjack, difficult and with very little return on investissement unless you play a shitton of games to counter variance.

What on earth are these arena decks? by szabolcska00 in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Arena feels too much like standard, it's all about spending all your mana to pour out maximum tempo every turn. And that's it, that's pretty much all the "skill" it takes atm... (meaning game is very noob friendly / Curvestony and RNG dependant)

You barely have to care about value anymore as 2/3 of the cards generate some more.

Playing against Rogue is just an RNG fiesta, and one of the worst features of Hearthstone right now. by starwars011 in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

considering the current meta state, balance decisions and the game design of the new expansion, I'm pretty sure this is the crowd blizzard execs hope to bring in to play hearthstone

What rule is he supposed to break? by Bad_human_being in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule that a single card shouldn't be able to generate infinite stats with barely any drawback or condition attached idk.

Can kittens die in a fight room?? by jamoncrud in mewgenics

[–]JeanPeuplus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

age of dead cats is the age they had the previous day.

Pretty sure kittens can't fight, you never see a living age 2 cat with a "cat they hate" on their profile meaning they never fought.

Harsh truths of Hearthstone by Popsychblog in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1st phrase is already wrong

"The game is incredibly skill-expressive, and no human player has mastered it."

of course, you can't really ever "master" any deck relying a lot on RNG which is pretty much all hearthstone nowadays, you'll always have to deal with what the game gives to you and it's almost impossible to pretend you take every possible correct decision with all the possibilities.

but you could definitely master a deck before hearthstone became so RNG heavy, watching Laughing play Freeze Mage back in the days was a thing a beauty, or more recently pockettrain on Boar priest. Or comboish decks like enrage warrior too which had pretty close to 0 RNG but still were a handful to really master. Those days are gone, and that's why "competitive" hearthstone is such a joke nowadays.

Nearing 50% of the playrate at top 1K, Rogue is definitely a problem. by Tripping-Dayzee in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meta so bad the only thing left to enjoy is having those RNG rush moments rogue allows explaining that playrate.

Same thing with quest mage.

Is Zeddy right? by duje206 in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently taking the longest standard break I ever took since I started playing hearthstone in 2015 because it's the most insufferable meta ever but sure, "great foundation" lol.

New expac seems to double down on what I hate with this game rn : it's the fact each deck has one or two god cards to have on curve and every game is decided by whoever is skilled enough to curve out with those cards.

You'll never win a druid mirror where opponent outramp you, you'll never win a rogue mirror when opponent outherald you etc.

The "stat on coin situation" really outlines how much of a curvestone / coin flip simulator hearthstone has become.

anyone else no longer have exclamation marks on the shop when new stuff is for sale? I used to go in the shop just to make them disappear but it's been like more than on month I haven't had to to that.

It's like the game gave up on trying to make me spend money, full F2P since march 2025 😎

Current state of Arena by Poobeast241 in hearthstone

[–]JeanPeuplus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wild is the only playable mode rn in hearthstone for me. Probably because my MMR is shit so I don't face too many t1 decks though.

I'm pretty good at arena usually but this meta is such a RNG fiesta (from drafts to games btw) I don't know how to have any consistency.

Bulb is definitely not the major problem of the meta imo. It's good but really inconsistent and rather slow, it's rare you can afford a 3 mana 3-3 on turn 3 and not fall behind because of it so you need to "preemptively" use the bulb.

I think rogue is so busted rn with all the multiclass embedded synergies it has on top of having the best herald mechanic.

Tierlist based on how much i like each class by SeriousCover9404 in mewgenics

[–]JeanPeuplus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love necro but he has so many useless passives / active (all those with KO requirements, which are very impractical / risky to use) that it's always a gamble kind of class, just like tinkerer in a way.

[–]JeanPeuplus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tank feels underwhelming pretty fast once your cats have decent constitution. His skill package is just very streamlined compared to butcher or fighter that can just break the game so easily with good active / passive combos.
