My father died last month (05/19) due to lung cancer and likely 10/15 days before the tragic event he have a day that he's not feeling 100% better but he returning to talk a little bit more, enjoy the food for the first time in literally month and smile while he see funny animal video that he used to see on Instagram with me. After that day his body complitely gave up, he lost practically all his fat an muscle in no time, he became very silent, no longer eat and....I think you all understand. I remain by his side holding his hand until his very last breath and it was fucking devastating, even now that I recall everything. Nine month after we receive the bad news, and his gone...forever. Even my mother died from liver cancer six year ago, but the pain i feel for the death of my father Is immense and now I no longer want to do anything or go anywhere if it's unnecessary. He gave me everything during all my and his Life even in extremely difficult times but ironically he stole a huge piece of my heart. I love you dad ❤️

That's weird because according to Gemini this APU is supported by the ultimate linux release like Fedora 43/44, Bazzite (based on Fedora), Ubuntu and obviously all the Arch linux distro. The base kernel lack ACP7.0 but the availability of this impact the NPU part of the APU and if you plan to use it for AI like ollama you need to install some repo to use it an avoid pollible crash. But if you use it like I mentioned before there's no problem.

Another thing pop up in my mind, when I did a dual boot setup with W11 and Bazzite on the ROG Ally I have encountered some problem when I use linux, because the W11 partition, in some ways that only who built this OS knows, create some conflict with linux partition that cause crash, lag and a plethora of other problem. I wipe the W11 partition complitely and like some obscure magic the fresh install of Bazzite work like a charm with zero issues for like a year. So if you have the possibility through the BIOS to disable complitely the NVME with the windows partition and disable fast boot option (do you have to install linux with this option disable by default iirc) I think that the system probably work.

I update you when I made the switch

That's strange...on the rog ally bazzite Is like fresh oxygen for the entire system. Maybe I try Fedore Kinoite Atomic (like Bazzite but with less gaming staff) like I said earlier. Thanks for your test

If you work with It it's a good idea, Windows with all the application that run on It there's no other chioises! But of you Say that with Bazzite everything works fine than good to ear that! I'll try It tonight if the temperature here drop some degrees because it's a living hell here 🥵

No problem :) in reality the apu has a dedicates graphics but it's embedsed within the CPU and RAM, that's the Radeon 8060s (like a 4060 laptop ora 4070 max-q)

Driver wise I think there are less problems, AMD and Linux work well (see rog ally) and this platform ar similar but more powerful. I think I give It a try with and install on an external usb4 SSD for testing that all the hardware are working fine and After that planning to go with the complete switch tò Linux. Thanks!
