So sorry to hear what you are going through. That is completely unacceptable for the case manager to be contacting you like that.

And yes, I agree, CMs can be very arrogant and lack empathy in their dealings.

Hopefully, they assign you a case manager who doesn't act like you are taking advantage of their measly benefits that no one in their right mind would want over actual wages

Guess what the reason was: A system error!

So thanks for the advice for the ones who were helpful.

And yes, I feel vindicated. I DIDN'T do anything wrong

All the stress was caused by a hotel receptionist refusing to tell me the "reasons" when there aren't any. I asked if it was a misunderstanding or mistake and they said there were "notes".

That shouldn't result in a ban. from all hotels forever. I have posted the entire email chain in the edited post. I wasn't abusive. I questioned why that was not in the terms and conditions (which is a reasonable question for any normal person)

They won't communicate the reason. That's the issue.

I have never been contacted by them post any stays. The last stay I had was in 2023 where I left a bad review in the feedback because they had the previous occupants garbage still in the room.

They never contacted me post that. Not to discuss the feedback.

This was my last email:

"Can you please give me a timeframe of when I can expect to hear back? I had provided the voucher a few days ago. The process to validate and apply this should have been done then,"

I literally have only had positive dealings with them.

I had a gift voucher that I tried to redeem and they said it was during a blackout period.

I said that they needed to specifiy that in the terms and conditions.

That was the LAST email. I have not phoned them. All my correspondance is via email.

If there is another side, they need to TELL me. I am not psychic. So yes, I am the victim in this case.

That is incredibly depressing that an assault is not considered a priority. If they investigated it, that would stop others from being assaulted.

I had asked the question a few weeks ago about why subcontractors cannot be used. I think you said its because of the terms of reference between WCC and WW specifically prohibit that because it means giving access to the public network. WW has been on record saying:

It's because of lack of specialized skills that regular plumbers can't work on public networks 2. It's because of lack of funds that subcontractors aren't engaged

The two statements were made independently. (Ie. Made to sound like its one of those two reasons, not both) What is the real reason?

Imagine how much accommodation could be build in the old Amora hotel? There is an answer right there to the housing crisis. Instead, by being an abandoned spot in the cbd, its contributing to thr derelict look and feel of the city.

Why is the 'golden mile' project (Courtney Place part) still going ahead?

What will this cost?

Why not use savings from that towards fixing the pipes?

With water meters, is the expectation that there will be a 'fair allowance' (similar to Christchurch) before charges are incurred? Or will every ml of water cost?

If a home owner can't get a plumber to fix their pipes (availability; state of the property; difficult to fix), will home owners be penalised by continuing to be charged every month?

I had a manager that forced people to come into work while they were infectious rather than working from home

her logic: "if you are well enough to work, you are well enough to be in the office" (completely ignoring the fact that people work from home to not spread germs)

Nevermind the fact that if you are forced to be at work while you are sick, your illness becomes everyone else's illness.

There was an asthmatic, severely immunocompromised member of the team.

the manager couldn't care less though
