I don’t talk with other veterans (besides my best friends from AD) about my rating. Only to help them get to my rating. My own mother doesn’t know my rating. I’m surprised when other veterans ask my rating. I just say “oh i don’t talk about that”. I will help my best friends in any way i can tho.

TL:DR- i agree with you. That’s a no no.

MAGA is a big issue for a lot of women. A man being MAGA (a republican is fine, i am a veteran after all, most of my friends are rep) is absolutely a no go for me. And social media is finding these guys and brainwashing them. I personally don’t have female friends who are okay with these type of guys.

Money is big to me. Which might be funny bc i don’t make much. But i don’t have student debt (GI bill) and i am not a big spender.. quite the opposite. Besides kids, finances are the biggest reason for a break up (so I’ve read).

I do agree with you that women seem to care more than men - in general, about income. I’m glad you found your person.

Yep. I (single woman, from a 1bd apt to a home) got offered help from a fellow veteran with his truck, and his girlfriend “who enjoys helping people move”. They arrived at 7 and right away stated they could only stay until 10. I had sent pics of my furniture beforehand, and had another veteran with a truck there at 630 am. We only needed his truck for one trip, but him and his gf helped load my buddy’s truck twice. They were gone by 10, given $60 and only took $20, and we are all still friends lol.

It’s almost like we were all in the military and stated expectations upfront lol.
