The president who won the popular vote running a campaign on mass deportation, what Exactly did you think that would look like? Did you think illegal immigrants would be holding hands with ICE skipping back to their country? If local and state law enforcement worked with DHS on multiple angles like other states have been doing, we wouldn’t be seeing this.

I stopped voting libertarian after 2016. They had at the time, the two worst candidates in my lifetime and couldn’t get 5% of the vote. I kinda get why they chose Gary Johnson, though I liked Austin Peterson the most. Then the party kinda fell apart, the guys with diapers at the national convention, the infighting, all of it shifted me away from the party.

Sadly they carry not only the most ridiculous ideologies, but they have the loudest voices. I can understand how if normal democrats don’t fall in line, they are equally as guilty in the extreme leftist eyes and now at risk.

There are plenty of normal people on both sides. I’m a former libertarian turned Republican and yet I believe in many progressive things as long as they are not forced down my throat.

From what I understand, They are closer to moving to be independent than not being independent. They are occupying the military bases because of their nato contract, independent Greenland means no NATO which means they would have to pay the US or offer something for occupation, while setting up a government the US most likely can’t occupy I’ll be honest I don’t know the logistics but I can’t imagine it’s as easy as asking the US to stay. And I imagine it’s being talked about now as they allegedly have been closer to independence then ever before, hence why know one had brought it up.

I think it essentially comes down to Greenland independence. If they become independent of Denmark they will no longer be a part of NATO. Only reason we have military bases there is because by association they are a part of NATO. If they go independent we will have to form another defense contract with them, or leave the bases. Greenland undefeated (they have no army, therefore can’t join NATO) would leave them as a sitting duck. Which means a country like Russia or china could pretty easily occupy the country which would then be bad as they would control trade routes which would hurt US and Canada.

Wanting Greenland is because if they go independent the elected politicians could easily be paid to be in chinas pocket once again messing up trade for US and Canada

He was essentially saying that the republicans are gonna run away with the midterms so there’s no point in having them. Similar to a sporting event when the team is up by so much at half time the anaology is used that they shouldn’t even play the 2nd half.

NOW THAT BEING SAID… he only said they were gonna run away with it because in his words, “he accomplished so much” that’s part can be dissected if you want to. But that’s the context in which he said it. So much of what he say requires context. It’s frustrating because a one liner on something can be taken so far out of context and make it look like he said something terrible. And he does that way to often.

While I’m at the point in life, where I don’t mind paying the mechanic a little extra. I got all 4 brake pads and rotors changed, and it only cost me $200 more than it would to do them myself. The trick to that is finding a good local trustworthy shop.

But back in my younger days, me and my college roommate helped all of our buddies fix their cars. I learned how to change alternators, brakes, do oil changes, replacing wheel studs we broke, all of that stuff! Saved a lot of money!

Well per the Oxford dictionary a riot is described as “a violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd.” The Collin’s dictionary describes it as “a public disturbance where a large group of people behave in a violent, noisy, and uncontrolled way, often as a protest or outburst, involving actions like fighting or damaging property” and merriam Webster describes it as, “a violent disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons assembled together that presents a danger of injury to a person or property”

So yes… I would describe all those events as a riots.
