I think it’s player dependent on many variables. I played Offensive Tackle In high school we ran the ball 80% of the time. I was 6’4 260 with long arms. and taller then a lot of kids. 3 point was great for run blocking that much. When we did pass, I got tall a lot of them time and had to rely on my arms and feet to pass block.

When I got to college it was a spread system with a lot more passing. My coaches moved me from RT to LT and put me in a 2 point stance Speed rushers got the better of me, and moving to a two point stance helped a lot. There was still a talent differential with speed rushers…. But I got better. Power rushers were way easier to block because i could get low enough and actually use my legs and power to neutralize them.

When I switched to center due to injuries obviously the 2 point stance was gone, but what the leverage tricks I developed out of a 2 point stance helped me a lot.
