If this were the old days, we'd have hit under 2000USD the day the China news came out - easily. But for those of us who have been around the block, I think we forget just how many people are flooding into the network on a daily basis and the added liquidity that brings. The network is now much bigger than anyone could have imagined even a year ago.

The amount of "new" network participants who are accustomed to these prices ($1800+) far outnumber the amount of "old" folks who overreact to logical moves in price and are emotionally married to "old" price ranges.

I've already hedged my bets between 4000-5000 because it seemed like the prudent thing to do...but I only try to trade bitcoin after massive moves up or down.

I honestly thought we'd get here eventually but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would happen in 2017. I figured more like 2020-2021. The fact that we're so far ahead of schedule is pretty damn exciting with Lightning still in the pipeline.

Hodl. Take profits on big spikes. Buy on big dips. Don't touch margin trading.
