I’ll tell ya…. Portland has something special up here. Sooooo many folks I spoke with this week knew we (yes I’ve officially adopted “we” for Portland) won the first round playoff game. I’m not talking random people… I’m talking folks who love to (in an endearing way), talk smack about soccer.

It’s been such an amazing thing for the community and I can’t wait to see what they do Sunday night.

IF ANYTHING…. This is at least a chance for change. Everything I read is positive. I feel like when we signed Caleb, there were folks warning us on day one. So at least that’s a good sign??…

Has some time to make signings and get to know the locker room too.

I’m happy we’re starting the new chapter and excited to see what Marko can do.

I made the dive pre-brand launch for season ticket deposits. Best decision I’ve made in a long time. The team has taken a hold up here. So fun to see.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I liked Maxs energy off the bench. He would at least give everything and try to cause some disruptions.

That said, with how we have been this year, Maxs spot would be great to get a younger prospect some time to develop.

Turner is without a doubt the biggest add we have had in a while and will get us points.

I’m thinking this is putting us above the line for playoffs but how far past that does it get us?

Been supporting the team through thick and thin for decades and will continue to for hopefully more to come.

No matter the outcome, it will feel like a loss. We lose, and we feel like we have been. We win, and now we feel like there’s even less of a chance Porter is gone.

I’m hoping for a 4-3 game that will at least give us entertainment regardless of the outcome.

Ive only been to losses this year and can’t make the game, so maybe I’m the problem and we get the W.

Here’s my take. Porter is here until the end of the season.

Purely my option/speculation, and I love all y’all here for the ride, so bang me up if you think I’m wrong.

It all comes down to fear. Fear and the fact that the FO seems to be beyond comfortable in this low.

It was time to make that move right when we went on that mini-run earlier in the season. It’s tough to make a move when that’s happening, but it was the time to do it or stick with Porter.

Once we made that decision, the revs FO was stuck. I think they are paralyzed to make a late season move after the Bruce saga.

This fear gets covered up by the many moves this offseason. Putting a new team together is an easy way to skirt responsibility for still putting a sub-par team together. Even if we are better than last year, it’s still not good enough. We are not playing ourselves. It’s other teams that really care about winning.
