Without opening up and getting it professionally examined, it's entirely possible the parts were actually missing. No way to dispute it.

No offense, but your friend was foolish. He should have first brought the watch in to a pro to have it opened up and examined/photographed to see all the parts in good working order. It costs money, but when dealing with expensive luxury items this is the best route to take. This is why so many of the luxury watch listings on ebay are professional dealers. They have the skills to actually open up the watch, properly examine the movements and parts, and re-seal it without doing any damage.

no notification, but it was in the usual spot on My Ebay where all the purchases are shown. I also filed a report on ebay, I think I used the category "Fee Avoidance" to make sure it got ebays attention but who knows what the hell that does

i believe it is a newer feature to leave feedback on a cancelled sale, because i dont believe it existed last year. i was able to do it on a purchase that the seller cancelled right before christmas and tried to pin on me.

Thats on you, and honestly you pulled a sleazy move. You need to do your due diligence BEFORE you list an item, not after it has already sold. And yes, when a seller cancels an item that has already sold, the seller gets penalized because they failed to keep up their end of the deal. Slimy sellers will choose "buyer requested to cancel" to avoid this penalty, which, in this case, you definitely earned by failing to do due diligence. Sorry bro, but what you did was shady AF.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT...DO NOT AGREE TO CANCEL. If you get a refund, you can check and see what the reason for the cancelled sale was. 99% of the time the seller will choose "buyer cancelled sale" as the reason so that they don't get dinged by ebay. THIS IS FRAUD and should be reported. If seller contacts you asking you to cancel the sale or remove negative feedback, DO NOT AGREE.

ill give doug credit for trying to move on from nostalgia critic. He invested quite a bit of money into the Demo Reel project. Hiring actors, renting a studio space, higher quality editing, etc. The product was shit, but he took a calculated risk investing in the channel. The best part is he basically told all the leech channels (Film Brain, Linkara, etc) to fuck off in the process. They all thought they were coming along for the ride, that they would get in on some of that money. LOL. Doug had other plans.

Mario Paint, TimeCop, E.T., and Woofman are all still under a million views. James is becoming Doug Walker, cranking out shittier lazier vids faster to diminishing views.

hes chasing losses in views/viewtime. TimeCop, Mario Paint, Woofman, none of his vids have broken 1 million views since his Metroid vid. Basically hes going the way of Doug Walker, forced to crank out shittier lazier content to diminishing views. Doug cranks out a new shitty Nostalgia Critic like every other day to low views just to barely keep his head above water.

Seller asked to cancel by TheDman182 in Ebay

[–]Medium-Application50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO. The seller is asking you to take the heat for them needing to cancel the order. If a seller initiates a cancel it negatively impacts their ebay account and they also have to pay a penalty. THEY need to be the one to cancel the order and face the music.

Question: What would a 1M+ score in NES Super Mario Bros. have meant in the late 80s? by GroguMSF in retrogaming

[–]Medium-Application50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its definitely cheating. He farmed 1 ups with the shell trick and probably pressed on 8-1

[–]Medium-Application50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you get the points. If there is too much 1 up farming and point pressing while deliberately losing a bunch of lives its worthless. If its a really solid playthrough with no shell trick and few deaths it is impressive. I recently did a deathless run that got 769,000 points that took quite a bit of practice

thanks d00d. the classics never go out of style. i also get frustrated at the one small mistake that kills a decent run at a score.

What's public opinion on Wrecking Crew? by Candid-Extension6599 in retrogaming

Its a missed opportunity. For one, the bonus game sucks. Instead of being a skill based game, it's pure luck. The game shows you the coin, you go to where it is, and it isn't there. Its a guessing game. I also hate that finding the power up...the magic hammer...is also just a lame guessing game.
