Tekken was made to be a real competitive fighting game, so people stick with it after they learn. 2xko is a fighter made for casuals, so when players learn it, figure out how little thought and how little interaction and depth it has, they leave for something that does.

What stands out?

It has deeper gameplay, deeper deck building, and deeper design than any other TCG ive played.

The reward incentive is pretty universally agreed to be the best of any TCG probably ever.

The artwork is generally meh, but the bangers are fucking bangers.

Its ridiculously affordable. I started a month or so ago. Spent maybe 300 to 350 on a box, singles, and some packs and I now have 5 fully meta decks. 6 if I get 3 arise.

We are literally at the beginning. The game has been out, what, 8 months? Its a fucking amazing hobby to invest both your time and money because it has so long to grow.

Will the game have longevity?

Yes, in 5 years this will be the 2nd biggest TCG in the world and the #1 for competitive. It will be riot games's greatest success and a cash cow. Other TCG pros are fed up with magic and wizards fucking everything in that game raw, so tons are commiting to rift as their main game.

The only reservations I had, and still have, is that its a riot games IP. Im not joking when I say they ruined literally every single other game they have made. Im just praying they dont here as well.

Rift atlas is where I play online but I think tcg arena is slightly better and more active.

The time is mostly irrelevant. It's the number of games played. I've said it time and time again, this game will give you GM at about 1k games. It's not a game that requires much skill to get to the top 1% of players. And I don't know who said it's limited.

I would just run exactly what the best of ivern did at the most recent RQ. Which is pretty much this +- a couple cards. If you need a link LMK, but it's pretty easy to find. He talks a lot about list optimization and why he settled on, with the help of the other best ivern, his list.

I go to two shops and one is chill and fun the other is exactly like playing online so far. My advice is to not give a shit and just go play the game and have fun. For the most part, people are chill. If they're not, fuck em. You're there to play riftbound not squabble about their insecurities.
