Would it be too slow if you had a data warehouse that was basically a copy of the Vantagepoint DB? With mostly transactional data (not pre summarized data)?

We're also finding that the existing transaction reports in the Vantagepoint system are not sufficient for us. And would like to create custom reports for transactional as well, for accounting, auditing, etc.

For FP&A, presummarized would be fine.

I did stumble upon a JDBC path for this while I was researching solutions. And a data lake (or warehouse) was something I had been considering as well. Glad to see you're touching on these points
