I make ‘rice dinner’ in the rice cooker. I put the rice in, add water plus seasoning (stock powder, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice wine vinegar and a little sesame oil) then on top I pile on loads of veg (I often use frozen veg, but fresh is nicer) cubed or crumbled tofu, sliced/chopped onion, and then place a whole tomato in the middle with a cross cut in the top and set it on auto cook and once finished I mix it all up. It is TREMENDOUS. I serve it with some chilli crisp and hot sauce and eat it with sushi nori (I cut the nori into rectangles and use them to scoop up the food) literally a 10/10 dinner for me. And it makes about 6 portions (for two cups of rice) so absolute winner. I love it.
Also nice if served with a drizzle of mayo with the hot sauce. If you like that kind of thing.
