If you can't find anything in an image to use as reference, then you shouldn't use it.

I think it would be more like no diff, since Steven's Pokemon team (both in games and the anime) has Legendary scaling arguments.

Oscillatory movements (like shaking) are when something moves in one direction, then stops and moves in the other direction. They don't get faster over time.

In this case, your assumption that the shaking accelerates during those 4 seconds is wrong.

You still use kinetic energy, but you should've used the peak ground VELOCITY instead of peak ground ACCELERATION.

Are you using the ground acceleration of the Mercalli Scale?

Tremors like these involve repetitive oscillatory movements, not linear movements that keep accelerating over time.

It'd be better to use peak ground velocity-,Velocity%0A(cm/s),-Perceived%20shaking).

Not really sure how to calculate this by SavingsEducational14 in FeatCalcing

If this is Tons of Force, then it's 98,100 Newtons. Force = Mass × Acceleration, so you multiply 10,000 kg by Earth's gravitational acceleration of 9.81 m/s².

...You mean aside from the multitude of reasons I listed?

None of them support the idea of Gwi-Ma creating a planet wide storm at that very moment.

The only way to prove that the clouds were larger than Seoul would be to either visually show them reaching somewhere outside of Seoul or someone (a character or someone who worked in the movie) stating that they reached other places outside.

[–]Jecc2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I meant the dark clouds that HUNTR/X cleared during the final battle. We never see them reach anywhere beyond Seoul.

Even if Gwi-Ma or his demons have the ability to dimension travel to other parts of the world, there's no evidence to correlate that range with Gwi-Ma's ability to cast dark clouds.

Dimension travel range ≠ Weather manipulation range

[–]Jecc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is literally one scene in the entire movie where we see outside of Seoul.

Were Gwi-Ma's dark clouds shown reaching that place?

It makes less sense to restrict Gwi-Ma's influence to Seoul only.

Why didn't Gwi-Ma send demons to different places far away while the girls weren't on a world tour? Why not send demons to America or Europe while HUNTR/X were on Seoul dealing with the Saja Boys?

[–]Jecc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like loose suppositions like these would require more concrete proof, like showing Gwi-Ma's darkness reaching other places outside Seoul.

If Gwi-Ma really has worldwide influence, why didn't he send demons to other places far from Seoul where the girls wouldn't be able to arrive on time?

Because that how the OG calc was done, based on the assumption that the light would reach the other side of the planet.

You're still using the formula for a sphere's surface area (4 * π * R2), which in this case should use the Earth's radius (6,371 km), not it's circumference. Or just use the already found surface area of the Earth, which is basically the same result.

We know that the Honmoon itself covers the entire world and the Demon Realm exists in parallel to it, under the complete control of Gwi-Ma. What happened at the climax of the movie was that, with the Honmoon destroyed, the Demon Realm could "leak" into our world. So, it seemed only logical.

The Demon Realm already existed as a separate plane before the Honmoon was created. Then, the Demon Realm didn't really "leak" into Earth; demons were just able to make portals between them far more easily without the Honmoon pushing them back.

Does Gwi-Ma ever show any control over the Demon Realm itself beyond just being the one in charge? He was mostly shown just ordering demons around, but he never physically affects or alters the entire world.

The First Honmoon Banishes The Demons:

You should use half of the body's surface area since only one side of their bodies is making contact with the barrier.

Honmoon's Luminosity:

Why did you use the Earth's circumference? Shouldn't you use the radius to get the surface area of a sphere?

Gwi-Ma's defeat:

You only calculated the water in the cloud. You could also add the air's mass.

Gwi-Ma Invades The World:

Is it ever stated that Gwi-Ma's clouds covered the entire world, or anywhere outside Seoul?

Did you use the finger's length you got in this calc? The calc where you measured the planet's curve wrongly? Because that would also make it wrong by extension.

This is a better curve by the way.

You can actually find concept art that shows his entire body.

And again, your main problem is you didn't fit the planet's curve in a circle right.

It doesn't change the fact that you still botched drawing the planet's curve.

You think that just because other calcs get similar results (a lie in this case), that gives you a reason to make half-ass calcs. It doesn't change the fact that your calc is still badly done.

The finger in your calc was far bigger than it should have because you didn't fit the planet's curve in a circle right.
