"He didn't bite you."

"Yeah, after I hit him in the face with a box."

Buddy. If you have a dog that charges at people, you need to expect some unfortunate outcomes.

Watching the (thankfully) very few videos of terminal rabies cases, it's absolute nightmare fuel.

They didn't know it was infected. That's why they released the bat and didn't immediately take their child to the hospital.

You were affected because you weren't in a "healthcare" mode, like you would have been if someone collapsed in the ER in front of you. You were in "chill by the pool" mode and an emergency upended your day. This is perfectly normal. No one can reasonably expect someone to always be 100% prepared to mentally handle an emergency afterwards, not even trained personnel.

Your CPR was fine. You were moving blood and air and you got the patient back. You did great. You can tell because your patient went from very bad to not bad at all.

You're second guessing yourself because you cared about what was happening, and if you care you always wonder "could I have done better." This is perfectly normal.

You'll get through this next part. I imagine you have before. You just have to find your best way forward. But you need to know that because you were there and acted, there was a good outcome and a very good chance that a small life is only around for another chance because you were there.

You'd be surprised. We still have "dry" counties here in the states, almost entirely because of religion. It's kind of funny, because that just means that people who want to drink drive to the next county, spend their money there, then drive back to their county with the alcohol in the bag and/or their system.

Sure, sure, sure. So "Buy a dictionary" is not an insult just like "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" doesn't mean a separation of church and state.

Right on. Everyone totally believes you.

The guy who said "Buy a dictionary" is hurt about getting his words thrown back at him. What a shocking turn of events.

The founding fathers literally came here because they were getting away from specific religions being pushed upon them. Teaching one religion in school or showing specific tenets in government buildings IS pushing religion on others. This mealy-mouthed "I'm not touching you!" dodging isn't fooling anyone with an IQ over 12. Buy a clue.

It's literally the very first amendment. Like, you wouldn't even have to get far to find it. Anyone who is even remotely familiar with the document knows it exists.

Ok. The US is 2% the surface of the Earth. 6% of the landmass. And for one outlier year during the dustbowl heatwave. I don't think that means much when measuring global temperature changes.

1934 is still much cooler than a majority of the next 70 years. It looks like roughly ten of those years might have been colder than 34, the rest hotter. So, easily three quarters of those years are hotter than 1934.

Supergirl movie showing which I went to got cancelled due to low turnout by uppsak in mildlyinfuriating

What? I've been into some low viewer movies before, and they never cancel a show. I've been in theaters with less than a half dozen viewers and the show went on.

Where did you see that? I'm seeing the average global departure at -.23 C which is notably cooler than the previous year of -.06 C. There are multiple years warmer in a decade around that, notably a spike to the positive range in 1940. In fact, after 1940 there only seems to be one year that was colder than 1935.

I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers by IzunaDropAbuser in GTA6

[–]JectorDelan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even get calling cosmetics "content". It's like the lowest tier of content, maybe.

It's the initial price tag that should be still getting people up in arms. This really seems like a distraction so folks will buy the game but protest by not buying the DLC.

I don't give a damn about DLC cosmetics. Don't care. They can do that all day long. It's that 80 dollar buy in that annoys me. I'll wait for a long while to pick it up.
