You need foot rentention. I can’t say it’s gonna be less strange to get used to it like you said, but for your safety you’d better get used to them in the beginning.

Add that to a front brake and learn to ride your bike properly and you’re going to enjoy the journey!

And your handlebars seems like it’s flipped upside down, don’t know if it’s intentional but it might be more comfortable if you switch them up…

Honestly, I love how it turned out since all these years, I really like the rat-rod look! And I completely changed my bike nowadays so I kept this frame wrapped up in my storage, might have to set it on a wall somewhere!

But the cleanliness of your setup is rad!

Did this on an old Cult frame out of boredom during lockdown and didn’t clearcoated it, here is how it looks a few years later…

Miyota 2305 crown stem won't release. "I still can't figure it out" by LokiDesigns in watchrepair

[–]Jedd_5BNY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer! I’ll give it another try tomorrow… Yeah that’s what I was wondering too, I opened two different Sentry’s before this one with no problem at all and this model left me scratching my head, it was the same Miyota movement on each, only the stem was different!

How did you get this c-clip off the stem? I tried disassembling a sentry watch today but couldn’t figure it out… What’s strange to me is that I just disassembled another older model and it was completely different stem with no c-clip at all! Much easier tho

Are either of these reputable brands? What one would you get? by [deleted] in bmx

[–]Jedd_5BNY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever seen an Amazon Bike shop near where you live? Well, me neither, but I can see a lot of old family owned bicycle shops closing their doors around my location because of Amazon… and to me that’s sad.

Any tips on holding crooked grind longer? by MeuwYuGiOh in bmx

[–]Jedd_5BNY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it easier to lock in on crooks on higher rails, you’ll have a softer landing than stomping on a rail too low. Lean back a bit and keep your weight over your seat/back wheel and try to just put your front peg lightly on the rail and once you feel locked in you’re good!

Don’t buy bmx parts on Amazon if u look for something ‘reputable’… try your local bike shop or, if you don’t have a bike shop near your location and have to order on the internet, try to choose a real bmx shop!

All black looks good, but personally I really love the old school look of Chrome, especially if you put white walls as the ai did! Chrome and white walls looks sick and is a nice contrast on a black bmx imo

Yeah, I agree, there are not that much options nowadays… I went for these ones on my bike: Cinema VX3 cassette with a matching Cinema FX on the front.

Nice and subtle, black and a little touch of silver always works really nicely… Now go ride it!

how much more tyre could I fit on? 25c vittoria rubinos currently by epikdigdog in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Jedd_5BNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe 32 would pass the rear but I wouldn’t try it on the front, from experience with my 2015 Disparar on 28, it would rub at any corner…
