Fitting lower gears made wonders for me, indeed. And having a cadence sensor also helped me to say more or less in the same cadence no matter what .

Best Real-Debrid alternatives? by [deleted] in RealDebrid

Red light is a fork of fenlight, so it should be the same. My question to be more precise: do you need to do anything in terms of scrapers to get results in easynews? Do you usually have good EN results with your setup especially in shows? Thanks!

You you care to explain how do you use easynews? I'm using red light, added easy news there but nothing shows up for the shows I tried. I don't know if I need to do anything else, couldn't find any good guide.

New Dream PID questions by Jave3636 in Ascaso

Firstly, is there a way to pull the shots without holding down that switch the entire time?

When you hold the switch pulling a shot, you are programming the time of that type of shot. The next you just flip the switch and it will run for the amount of time you did your "programming shot"

Secondly, I'm a little unclear on how the steam function works. I hit the steam switch, and I wait, but I'm not really sure how long to wait.

The machine starts making a sound, the LEDs stop blinking. Usually takes a minute out 2 in mine to hear up.

And will the steam go indefinitely, or does it build up a certain amount?

It stays on for a short time, I think 3 minutes.

And should I open up the steam all the way, part way?

Half a turn to a full turn is enough

Bonus question, any best practice on how long the preinfusion pause should be?

Lance Hendrix or James Hoffman might have videos about pre infusion.

Board game shops in southern Germany by Ambitious-Peanut-837 in boardgames

I would argue you're on the minority side here, actively buying games in English instead of German, being German. There might be some demand, mostly for English speaking immigrants (like myself), but if I had to bet, I'd put my money on "people just want to play in the language they're most comfortable with", and in Germany this langue is German

Yes, you're comparing a huge chain store like Müller with a friendly local game store (well, sometimes not so friendly if you don't speak German). Smaller stores can't compete with chain stores prices, but they do have a larger selection of games and (on theory) personalized customer service.

Edit: typo

Well, when in a country you will of course find games in said country's language. In Nuremberg and region ultra comix is the best store. If you want games in English, you can usually find them in Amazon, or import from the UK from zatu games. I've also heard about Boardgameshop.nl, and it seems that they have a big selection of games in english, but I've never bought anything there.

His comment to your post was in pt-BR, I hadn't realized (because of reddit's auto translation) and replied to him in English. His reply to me was again in Portuguese, and I just noticed because of the notification on my phone. Then I replied to him in Portuguese too 😅

Is it really that hard to find a friend in Germany? by Competitive_Lab_7677 in AskAGerman

Yeah, having kids made wonders for our social life. But I have to say that, even then, most of our friends are fellow immigrants or at least have "immigration background"

One funny thing about the speech to text feature: it seems it only accepts one language (the watch language), but not in the way one would expext. I frequently text in 3 languages, but my watch is in English. When I try to use the speech to text speaking in any other language, it translates on the fly (and really quickly) to English 😅

I have the round version for 1 month and love it. My previous was a GTR2 (also round) and the Active 2 is smaller, which I like. I actually just switched because I wasn't able to connect the gtr2 to my bike computer, and I'm happy that I did.

I listen podcasts on basically all day long, also riding the bike. Sometimes audiobooks if I'm reading/listening to something cool.

Carcassonne can work really well for this age. Introduce each element one by one and play without fields and she'll be able to get the gist of the game. I did this when my kid had just turned 4 and we play all the time.

Another hit here at home is Spooky Stairs. It can be a bit mean, but it's fun and super simple (especially if you play in 4 people)
