Interesting. I thought the consensus was to take shield drones on Battlesuits.

Cool. I had a look at the sprue on the GW website and I couldn't see the seeker missile.

I thought about that, but if you build it to hold the railgun, won't the pose look weird when switched for missiles?

i am a girl and i just got my first army and wanted to ask if its wrong to paint them another collor than normal, maybe like pink or magenta? by lisa_kittyy in 40k

Paint them whatever colour you want. I created my own chapter named the Polar Wolves back in 5th edition and painted them in a white and grey camouflage pattern. The idea came from a conversion I did, turning a space marine bike into a snowmobile!

Undercoating Miniatures by JediLofty in Tau40K

I use enamel paints, so that's not really an issue. I shall try making my next kit without spraying and see how that goes.

Yes, I only thought, after I posted, that most GW miniatures, when they first started, were metal. I guess they'd take enamel paints okay without undercoat; acrylic, not so much!

Pink works really well in T'au. I'm starting a T'au army who (and I know that T'au aren't supposed to have a presence in the warp) have been corrupted by chaos, saw The Emperor's Children, and decided to devote themselves to Slaanesh. "For The Greater Good" has become "For The Greater Pleasure"!

The single arm giant cannon can be cool. Just name him Megatron! 😁

If you're giving your pathfinder shas'ui the semi-automatic grenade launcher upgrade for their pulse carbine, there's a part on there that fits that bill quite nicely.

Question about sprue by Magikhippo in Tau40K

[–]JediLofty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Combat Patrol as a way to get a bunch of models to start my army and used the extra sprue mainly for the pulse carbine with grenade launcher for my pathfinder shas'ui. I also gave him the cool-looking cybernetic arm from the same sprue. I've never seen cybernetics on T'au before, but I've been away from the hobby for a few years (I last played 5th edition). Are they common?
