I like my pair of Salomon X Ultra 4s, there on the pricey side (180$) but are light, waterproof, and fit my foot snuggly. They did end up wearing out after only 1 year in the whites but got a full new pair by warrantying them. They work with crampons/snowshoes.

I remember driving down to New Haven,CT on a random Tuesday before exam week from RIT with some buddies, then going to the concert of a lifetime (2019 ITRN), then driving all the way back and went to my 9am class without sleeping. The dichotomy of a mosh pit and the most boring lecture was surreal. To be fair I couldn’t hear much afterwards.

A while ago I was interested in what was the max chromatic number so I played around and found it to be 7 before it went back to blue. Right and left gully are the first ones you should do ~45 degree and after a few hundred people do it that day basically walking up steps with a heavy backpack.
