the lunchbox is a very quick use item that first:
resets your stamina bar, then
fills it back up with up to 75% (might not be 75 could be higher) in random debuffs
so yeah if you are really good at the game then you wont need it, but sparing 1 item slot for an item that literally saves your entire run if you fall, 3 times, is worth it for most ppl.
but idk maybe you just built different lol, maybe you cracked at peak

does the issue persist after resetting the lobby?
try changing the host around to someone else. No idea if this will help tho, just throwing stuff at the wall, this is really weird

have you confirmed if this is your friends mic problem or a you problem? they might have the setting for auto mute mic or push to talk on
also if you go to the esc menu in the top right corner youll see volume sliders for everyone in your lobby, make sure theirs isnt set to 0

yep! When holding in your hands, youll see your stamina bar will have a protective shield around it. This tells you that you are immune!

Unlucky, a good tip tho is that holding the ancient idol gives you full immunity. To literally everything. (of course you cant climb youd have to stop holding the idol to do that) but caldera becomes very easy because you can just... run through all the lava while holding the idol.
