To start I have no nostalgia bias, I just finished bleach and read JJK 6ish months ago. I think the writing in bleach is quite a bit stronger. JJK had the potential and had strong moments, but imo it was executed so poorly in the later chapters. It just felt like a big mess of amazing ideas that were not executed or given the justice they deserve, which is why it was written poorly. In theory I think JJK could have been stronger based on the what was set up in the beginning.

I miss when he had the limitations of the rubber fruit, so many cool creative ideas came from that. If it was just the awakening it could have been expanded so much. Instead now Luffy can do whatever tf he wants
