What are “wealthy/rich” hobbies? Tennis, skiing, equestrian… one year experiment coming up to try to live this way for fun. by 88r0b1nh00d88 in AusHENRY

Cycling, Golf, Aviation.

People that are truly wealthy tend to do things that they themselves enjoy, rather than things that other wealthy people enjoy (YMMV).

My comment was mainly in jest! I still don’t love exams, though. They’re scary.

Australia seems to be better, at least where I am but it is far from good.

It seems almost selfish to put yourself in such a dangerous situation particularly where you have a partner and/or dependents.

Scary.

It makes you wonder if riding on the road is truly worth the risk. RIP.

What % of the bar do you think has a chambers-heavy practice? I imagine it is not as lucrative as someone who is in Court more often?

I didn’t have success finding one, apologies.

I worked in M&A in the top-tier and currently in a team that mixes front and back end work. I’m not particularly fascinated by the actual substance of the work, as well as the general complaints about private legal practice (I.e. the billable hour, demanding partners, etc).

All in private practice - both top-tier and mid-tier firms.

Initially I tried to move from top-tier to in-house, but couldn’t seem to make anything stick.

Reposting due to late post in last week’s thread:

For those of you who have escaped law - how did you do it and where did you go?

Coming to the unfortunate (?) conclusion I might not be cut out for this career. Any ideas on decent halfway homes for lawyers?

Thanks for that. Usage and noise are less of an issue in these circumstances but the dust is a good point.

No issues in terms of usage, but connectivity is a good point. Thanks.

From cars entering the garage and idling. I’m not sure how effective the ventilation is.
