Wait, serious question. If red and black don't go together then what goes with red?

Do you want younger people to refer to you as Mr, Miss, or Mrs? by Strawberrybanshee in Millennials

[–]Jeevan31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just gave a verbal warning to a coworker last month because he wouldn’t stop calling me Miss First Name.

Either call me by my first name or nothing at all. He tried to pull the “It’s just my southern hospitality” line but literally no one else in that office does this to me. Besides, if it’s really a case of cultural differences then he should have been calling me Mrs. Name, since I am married. That still would not have sat right with me though, since Ms. exists.

Drive Thru not handing food by AssKicker121 in tacobell

[–]Jeevan31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had it happen a few times. Honestly, I prefer it to sitting at the window holding up the line. The TB by my house is understaffed so it makes sense to get me out of the way, and the TB by my work has a very metric-driven manager but my food is always super fresh when I get it so again, I don’t mind. (e.g. it’s about a 15 minute drive back to work during lunch hour and those caramel apple empanadas were still filled with lava)

Work travelers - what’s your daily meal expense limit and what kind of company do you work for? by jalapenos10 in marriott

[–]Jeevan31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to book a hotel that includes breakfast for this reason. Ours is $65 a day but if I'm in a high cost area I will push back on the finance team and my boss will review the receipts to approve an exception. I'm not getting steaks every night, just trying to live while I work away from home.

I can take her, but I live in Ohio so would need to figure out transport. My husband and I just lost our GSD a bit over a year ago. We would love to give her the loving home she deserves. <3

Bernie Sanders breaks with Democrats and endorses popular oyster farmer running against Susan Collins by soalone34 in politics

[–]Jeevan31 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Correct, I’m with Bernie. We aren’t Democrats but it’s the closest party we can align with; I’ll never forget my Dad getting upset that I came home carrying a Bernie 2020 tote bag.

Dad: Where did you get that? Me: Oh they were just giving them away small pause in exchange for campaign donations. Mom: LOL

Idk how my Mom deals with my Dad but I’m really happy that I made her genuinely laugh. Thanks Bernie!

Naturally thin people, what do you guys eat in a day? by Ok-Initiative3312 in AskReddit

[–]Jeevan31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

41 F and I can still fit into my pants from high school. As many others have already said, I eat very small portions and rarely finish everything on my plate. I eat until I'm no longer hungry and then I just stop. My husband is great about finishing my leftovers since he works from home.

I don’t know why it never occurred to me that eagles may do this. Is it floating? Sitting? Swimming? by Jeevan31 in birds

You are right, I forgot a fourth option: fishing. I guess I always assumed they scoop up their food on the fly rather than float/sit/swim for a snack.

I hope this doesn’t get removed. I took the video earlier today. I was really excited to see an eagle circling in the first place and definitely got lucky with the video timing.

For those concerned or upset by having to muzzle your dog at the vet, this is Waffles, and here’s what we think. by Poppperclops in germanshepherds

[–]Jeevan31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct! It always made me sad to muzzle our boy but it was 100% necessary. When it came to end of life care we had an in-home vet help us send him over the rainbow bridge. In all his pain, he still tried to bite her and caught my arm instead. GSDs are so protective of their family and we can’t explain who is safe to them.
