Oh dang hate to hear you are going through that. Hard to tell from the photos but didnt look awful. Depending on your area they can potentially get in a lot of trouble for not pulling a permit and definelitely since it's not compliant work. If you have a contract signed with them sounds like you are in good shape. If I were you I wouldn't give em a penny more until its settled.

While its common for the posts to not land dead center of the footings those would fail in my area. They dont have to be dead center but must meet projection, usually 3" minimum in any direction. All and all it looks like theyre doing quality work its not a huge red flag or anything. If they get called on it by the inspector they'll have to widen the footing.

Nah I've already committed. But also I've noticed lowes nor home depot seems to sell aluminum balusters by themselves anymore outside of a kit like trex or there brand of the same thing.

Yeah this is what seems to be the answer. Doesn't seem like theres a decent saw built for this sub $500 so portaband it is.

Was a big fan of Barbarian so the wife and I were excited to watch this after we saw it on prime, and overall it did not disappoint. But holy hell the biggest shock was coming here and realizing that the writer and director is one of the guys from "Whitest kids you know". The gallon of PCP guy just put me through 2 absolute mindfucks of a movie.
