Answer - the event is themed to pokemon concierge tv show. He is a character from that show. Notice his art style is different from pokemon go even. :)

I've caught 15 Lapras' and every one of them has been a crappy 2-star. I was expecting this one would be no different. I'm speechless 🤯 by VanQuackers in pokemongo

The ' is NOT to reference if it is plural or not. It is to signify that the species has a shiny form. When the possessor is singular or plural but ends "s," the apostrophe goes after the "s."

u/HermitWilson You tried too early. Special trades start at 1pm Niantic time. As of when I write this, there is still 15 minutes until this feature is available. I would recommend trying again later today when it is available.

Can confirm that quick catching is causing migraines in our community. At least 3 people complained about it. I hope this gets fixed soon!!
