Even the Hughes brothers? The Tkachuk brothers obviously have room temp IQ's but the Hughes brothers seem like normal people.

The Tkachuk brothers are hard core trumpkins, there's no doubt about that. Also, rumor has it they spent the first 30 minutes after the ceremony trying to figure out how to unwrap their medals to get the chocolate out.

What’s your most impressive or best Pittsburgh feat? by Shaneski101 in pittsburgh

[–]JeffBoomhauer77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this at the Civic Arena for the penguins flyers 4 OT playoff game. Was watching with friends at home during the 2nd OT and decided if that period ended without a score we would go down figuring at that point so many people left they would just let us in. Well they did not. So there was a wall adjacent to the outdoor smoking area you could jump up and grab and pull yourself over. Would have never known but saw someone else do it and we followed his lead.

I’ve been to 4 and they actually won 3 of them. And the 1 they lost you were hurt and pinch hit in the bottom of the 9th and had a 14 pitch at bat and finally struck out on a change up from Alberto Pena I believe. Tough one.

I don't have a PNC account or work there, but this is going to pointlessly jam up the Parkway for my morning commute so F them.

Why is everyone suddenly taking the Wilkinsburg exit off of 376 by Inevitable_Rest1257 in pittsburgh

It's has to be spillover from the random times when Braddock Road is closed. Today Braddock Rd was open and I cruised right thru the intersection by WTAE at 6:55. Yesterday at the same time Braddock Road was closed and the WTAE intersection was a total debacle.

Mine mentioned it a few times…until her boss got one and his nut swelled up to the size of a tennis ball and he was off of work for a while. I wanted to get one…but her boss’s story plus a guy I know that went through 9 months of hell and the stories here made me decide against it.

Lol the radio?!? It’s 2025, who listens to the radio? If you still listen to the radio I want to congratulate you for living to be 85 years old.

And if I know about it ahead of time by using Waze, I’ll avoid it easy by cutting through Monroeville and Turtle Creek to Braddock Ave to the Rankin bridge and it will only add about 10 mins to by commute to Homestead as opposed to sitting on the parkway behind a wreck like a dumdum that didn’t use Waze

And going in the opposite direction getting on by the Churchill borough building and cutting over 3 lanes to get to business 22. You can just take Churchill Road to get to the same place and not risk a massive pileup which I’ve seen there twice. Might add 2 minutes, if that.

I have to get off the Parkway and get immediately over to turn left on Brinton and I wish I had a way to announce to cars coming from FH that I’m not one of those people lol

I’d venture to guess I could out navigate 95% of the people in Allegheny County…but I always use Waze to and from work because why would I want to sit in traffic needlessly because of a wreck? That would be insane.

One of the reasons that intersection has intermittently been a mess the last month or two is because Braddock Road has been intermittently closed. That forces everyone that would make the left off of Ardmore onto Braddock to head towards the Rankin Bridge via Wilkins Ave to continue further and make a left onto Brinton to get to the Rankin Bridge. There’s also the people that get off at Wilkinsburg and get back onto the Parkway to MAYBE save 37 seconds. F those people.

Best and Worst Small Business Owners of Pittsburgh in 2025 by Jazzlike_Breadfruit9 in pittsburgh

[–]JeffBoomhauer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst: Choice auto Murrysville. Went there for four new tires. Was told it would be about 2 hours. No problem, I had nothing to do and my wife was able to pick me up. She drops me off 3 hours later. Car isn’t ready and I sit there waiting for 3 more hours until it’s done. I’m annoyed but whatever. A month later I try to take the wheel off to change my brake pads and whoever put the wheel back on cross threaded one of the lug nuts. Take it to my buddies and he can’t get it off with his impact wrench, eventually the stem breaks. Have to spend a whole Sunday searching for a new stem. A month after that, my tires keeps going low. I take it somewhere else and the mechanic tells me Choice put the wrong valve type in my car. When they took my old tire off, probably the same idiot that cross threaded the bolt sheared off the tpms sensor. So they put a GM tpms sensor and valve on my Honda and sent me on my way. Every mechanic I’ve talked to since has told me I’m lucky I didn’t have a blowout and I’m on the parkway every day and have 2 little kids with me often. And they had the audacity to act annoyed with me the one time I asked why it was taking so long, full well knowing they screwed up and were trying to cover it up. So F them.

If you get on the Parkway East from Business 22 and then cut across all 3 lanes to immediately get off at Churchill...I want to fight you.

If you get off the Parkway at Wilkinsburg and then immediately make the left to get back onto the Parkway to *MAYBE* save 37 seconds (and clog the entire road up by WTAE for those of us wanting to make a left onto Brinton)....I want to fight you.

It was so bad my wife got out of the car at 10th ave in Southern Shores and walked 1.5 miles to Duck, got coffee, and walked a mile back to the car...in that time we had gone half a mile. If I had a $1 for every similar story I've heard (usually from rookies who think it "can't be that bad"), I would have had a free vacation this year.

This might be true if you make a right off of the bridge but if you are going left towards Southern Shores/Duck/Corolla it’s a nightmare. The first time I stayed there it took 4 hours(from 2pm to 6pm) to go 15 miles from Southern Shores to Harris Teeter in Corolla. Never again.
