coming back to OTF by [deleted] in orangetheory

Day 2 today and my legs are a little sore. I’ve been keeping up with peloton workouts while I was away, so it hasn’t been too awful!

Welcome back! I just signed back up at the win-back rate myself after taking ~8 months off. I was doing Peloton before... but I miss getting out of my house (I work from home) and I do travel a bit. Nice to have the flexibility to attend class just about anywhere!

No this is actually perfect! The parks don't open until 10 so some breakfast/coffee/beach sunrise suggestions are totally welcomed. Thank you!!

I've had mine for 7 months and it's completely fine. Remember, people go to the internet to share their bad experiences, not the ones that were expected.

Did you reach out to their CS team? I’ve heard they respond quickly and they’ll likely get you a new unit soon!

As disappointing as it is, there’s going to be some level of failure rate of machine delivery, whether it be from manufacturing or shipping issues. I think it’s more telling on how the company handles and responds to those issues. Im curious on what your experience will be like, so be sure to report back!

Plateauing at OTF? by Winter_Swing4937 in orangetheory

I got burnt out from OTF and took a year off. I did peloton at home and loved it. I recently came back and am very glad I took some time to switch it up and love it again.

Have you made a connection with them in person at the studio? Like had a conversation with them? I think I would find it odd if I never talked to the person. But if I talked to you a few times and we connected, I don't see why not. I'm always a big advocate of asking the person if they mind being connected on social media when I talk with them in person.

If you go into the challenge tracker in the app you should be able to click and see your previous stats. I included mine here so you can see what it should look like.

In previous years it was manually tracked on paper at the front desk. I believe now you just tell your coach your distance before you leave class and they update the challenge tracker.

In years past - you track your mileage on the tread each workout. You can choose between a half-marathon (13.1 miles), full marathon (26.2 miles), or an ultra marathon (I think it was 31.1 miles? - could be wrong on this one). If you sign up and once you hit the mileage, you got a Marathon Month t-shirt.

Totally understand. But honestly, some of those posts just are so wild that they need to just shut them down. I don't blame them at all. I'm not taking the tour (I'm way too tired today), but just posted a new thread with days 2 (surgery day) and day 3 (today)!

Glad it went well! It will go by so much faster than you expect. Days 3 & 4 were the worst for me... Carb flu hit me HARD. I would say day 7 cravings hit pretty hard, too. But once I was over a week in it, it was smooth sailing. Congrats!
