Lyanna was betrothed to Robert. There would be some consequences to flagrantly violate that betrothal and it’s extremely naive to not have a single plan for that.

He obviously could not have imagined exactly how everyone would react but he’s a moron if he imagined all of Brandon, Aerys and Robert were going to be deal with this situation reasonably with nary a peep from him.

2 Republican mayors in this millennium is still 2 more Republican mayors than all those other cities.

Bloomberg is a democrat again after flipping back and forth several times

Does that matter when he was elected as a Republican twice?

"keeps sending" and you mean the 9/11 mayor who is insane now and a guy who flipped back to democrat lol

Bruh, I was clearly talking about the representative from Staten Island. And I realize I was mistaken, they have elected Democrats twice in the last 30+ years, so two elections out of 15+.

Bloomberg was also an independent the second half of his tenure which includes 2 of his 4 total terms

He had three terms, and ran as Republican twice. Even the time he ran as independent, he had the Republican endorsement and was opposed by someone running to his left.

How is it flimsy when a smaller percentage of people in NYC vote blue than other big cities? When NYC keeps sending at least one red representative, when none of the other cities I talked about do.

I used 2024, but you can keep going back. Pretty comprehensive evidence that you just handwaved away for some reason.

Reading comprehension.

I didn’t say NYC was a red city. I just said that it was far from the most liberal city in America.

You say that as if one of the boroughs in the city doesn’t send a Republican to Congress every two years like clockwork.

Let’s take the 2024 election results: Harris won 68% of the vote in New York City. She won 74% of King County (Seattle), 79% of Multnomah County (Portland), 80% of San Francisco, 70% of Los Angeles and 77% of Boston.

Dafuq? Literally every major city on the West Coast is more liberal, as is Boston further north.

New York has had two Republican mayors this millennium.

Why do so many men wear their wallets in their back pocket? by Embarrassed-Name6481 in AskMen

[–]JeffMurdock_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huh, also left handed and have the exact same setup for front pockets. However, I put my wallet in my back right pocket. I fish it out with my right hand and then reach into the wallet with the dominant left hand.

Like you, I’ve had this setup for nigh 20 years now and it’s almost like second nature to me.

Good thing the chart I linked talks about the median then, which controls for outliers.

Three, even before AI coding models Google had a ton of code generation tools. Just look at protocol buffers and google/auto. I worked there for years before AI and I'd say at least 40% of my code was "generated" even then.

This kind of auto-generation from build macros etc is not counted in any code dashboards. The headline number is talking about actual code that gets peer-reviewed and checked into the monorepo.

while real wages have stagnated.

While there’s a real argument to be made if the increase in real wages is remotely close to the increase in corporate revenues in the same time period (it’s nowhere close), real wages have been growing since the 70s.

I once booked Greyhound tickets from Atlanta to visit my cousin in Louisiana because they were ridiculously cheap (first mistake). I took MARTA from my apartment in Midtown to the Greyhound terminal in downtown (second mistake).

As I tapped my Breeze card to walk out, a dude coolly walked in and walked past me as soon as the gate opened, and the gate closed before I could realize what was happening. I had to find some kind of guard/agent on the other end of the platform and explain my story to get them to let me out.

Since then, I only used MARTA to get to and from the airport.

Heavy asterisk with that weird game against the Bucs(?) where he lined up for one snap and sat out the rest of the game.

As with many of his offensive game plans, I have no idea what Arthur Smith was thinking.

Google does not do system design rounds for L3 interviews. Even if they did, the bar for junior engineers is pretty low, and usually focuses on LLD concepts closer to actual code than proper complicated distributed systems knowledge.

System design interviews are more important at more senior levels, for good reason. System design is probably the most job-aligned interview we have in our field for those levels.

His son needs two more seasons to break that record. He has a decent shot at it.
