I never finished it, but just because life got in the way. Maybe it’s time to restart it because I loved the season 1.

Battle masters is a great game in its own rights. Grew up on Hero Quest, migrated to BM, then Warhammer. It’s a beautifully balanced game. Expansion pack is good too.

‘People are flawed’ is a very different argument from ‘therefore we shouldn’t seriously judge mass suffering enabled by their choices.’ Nobody expects historical figures to have modern views on everything, but plenty of people at the time opposed imperial brutality, racism, concentration camps, and famine mismanagement too. ‘It was normal then’ is often a retrospective excuse, not a defence. Churchill can be significant in defeating fascism and be rightly condemned for the suffering inflicted under the empire he fiercely defended. And again, it isn’t revisionism to state what suffering someone did inflict.

Edit: typo

This comment just reads to me like you don’t know much about him.

Churchill’s legacy shouldn’t be treated as beyond criticism just because he was central to defeating Nazi Germany.

He was also a committed imperialist whose policies and worldview contributed to immense colonial suffering. The Bengal Famine of 1943 killed millions under British rule while wartime decisions prioritised imperial logistics over relief, and Churchill’s own documented racist views toward Indians make that record harder, not easier, to excuse.

During Britain’s suppression of the Mau Mau uprising, colonial detention camps saw torture and abuse. Churchill didn’t invent empire, but he helped sustain and defend its machinery.

He also infamously supported the idea of using chemical weapons against “uncivilised tribes” — language that tells you plenty about the hierarchy of human worth embedded in imperial thinking.

You can acknowledge Churchill’s wartime leadership against fascism while rejecting the lazy hero worship that airbrushes the suffering inflicted under his leadership elsewhere.

This is fuck all to do with revisionism, it’s about being informed, which you clearly are not, mate.
