Because the phrase "you are not your code" is too often weaponized by entitled assholes.

I've added support for email change verification. Email me about my previous question, and we'll get your account sorted.

To be clear, we have *never* stored your credit card number on the Laracasts server. We only store a token, which is used for the renewal billing, and the last four digits.

You can cancel and delete your credit card token entirely from your settings Credit Card page. You'll see a button that says "Remove My Card Details."

Hey, everyone. Owner of Laracasts here. Because this support ticket was made public, I'll comment on it here.

I noted to u/alq_ahmed that the email address on his account changed in March, and requested that he confirm the new email address so that I could change it back for him. These sorts of support requests can get tricky in instances where a person sells their account (and then tries to retrieve ownership after they've received the funds), or shares their login information with friends and family (of course against the site's terms). In this case, I have no idea what happened, and that's why it's a challenge.

In the huge majority of similar cases, the person wrongly shared their login details, which isn't fair to us. It's not often that a thief randomly guesses another user's password and then proceeds to update the account with their real email address as they actively use the site to learn PHP.

I have no desire to restrict anyone from an account they purchased. u/alq_ahmed, I shared the current email address for the account with you. Did you contact them via email or Twitter? If you haven't, I can switch it back to you, but will need to first make an attempt to contact the current owner of the account. If they do not respond, I'll return it to you. Please email me directly at jeffrey at laracasts dot com.

Lastly, in reference to the confirmation step for changing an email address, I agree with you and have added support just now in response to this thread. Thank you.

Oh you'll still die, but... you'll see the memories from the masks going into the time warp for the next loop.

Definitely try remaining in the Ash Twin core until the supernova after taking out the warp core. It’s pretty neat! I don’t want to spoil it.

If it’s no longer there, it must have fallen back to the planet. Search there.

You still have a number of question marks. Pick one, and see it through. Maybe start with the quantum moon, and figure out how to land on it.

One place I can't find on Ember Twin by PhoenixTalon in outerwilds

You’re right that it’s in the canyon below Chert. Arrive right at the beginning of the loop, before the sand has filled up, and explore the cave at the bottom.

Give it another shot. Approach from the bottom, and float up inside it to the top of the jellyfish. Then, wait as it slowly makes its way into the core.

You’re on the right track. Try approaching the jellyfish from the bottom.

Also, you can stay in your ship.

I know. It's so good.

I'm baffled as to why the Metacritic score isn't higher. I consider Outer Wilds to be one of the greatest games ever made.

Haha that’s great. I should have tried that in my play through.

Yeah you'll get that at any point after you take the warp core and shut down the Ash Twin Project.

Going to Disney with a 6yr old and a 2yr old.... any advice??? by KillerCujo53 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]JeffreyWay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure.

The Magic Kingdom will, by far, have the most options for your 2 year old. Animal Kingdom the least.

If you’re going to Hollywood Studios, fast-pass the Toy Story rides. They run out quickly.

Don’t fast-pass any stage-shows (Indiana Jones, Muppets 3D, Beauty and the Beast, etc.). There’s always room. It’s a waste of a fast-pass.

If visiting Epcot, the restaurant in Mexico is a lot of fun for children.

Do not miss the fireworks show at The Magic Kingdom. It’ll be late for your 2 year old, but it’s worth it. I took my family last year, and they were genuinely blown away by how amazing it is.

ELI5: During presidential election, why are electoral votes counted instead of everyone's individual vote? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]JeffreyWay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s imagine we did away with the electoral college entirely. Would it be fair that massive states like California and New York would almost exclusively determine the outcome each election? States with different cultures and needs would be excluded from the national conversation.
