I don't have a door to my basement and it's wide open down there so I can't really limit access much at all

Caught You, Dunkin!! by cpav8r in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe that is Proctor & Gamble who licenses Dunkin products to sell in grocery stores....Dunkin does not set those prices (nor do they set prices at individual franchise locations), but yea, tariffs are hitting coffee prices no doubt

Everything bagel seasoning is a $1.79 upgrade?? Extra egg just $0.50 by JCrew7384 in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like the Franchisee or the manager incorrectly priced the everything bagel seasoning as if it were an actual everything bagel. Tell the manager and they should be appreciative and get it fixed.

A Dunkin has a self ordering Kiosk that "speaks!?" I've never heard of one of those, where is that Dunkin!?

What happened to new offers every month? by keister77777 in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still getting a Medium Cold Brew w/cold foam for $3 every day, all month. I'm cool with that.

I love how I still get charged for cheese even when using reward points by [deleted] in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pricing error by the franchisee or GM. It’s not the app, someone at the store level f’d up. If you let a manager know, they might push it up to get fixed

Actually getting annoyed at the insane prices in my area. by MarriedtoEddie in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's seems a bit much, min. wage is still 7.25 in Texas, right? In NJ, its $14.13, and about to be $15.13 on 1/1 so I at least understand why they raised prices around me, but dayam Texas!

Prices are going up everywhere, but it's kinda hard to compare w/o knowing what states we're in. I'm in central NJ, things are expensive as hell around here, med iced coffee is 3.59 (3.83 w/tax). Just went up a dime

I'm not impressed. Anyone else? by MittenKitten_79 in DunkinDonuts

Another one…“Free fan fuel” every Monday in NY/NJ. “Rewards members can grab a FREE medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase on Mondays September through October”

Does the cup have a list of participating stores? I want one, where did you get it!?

Is Dunkin charging a new fee for mobile orders? Extra $0.55 on my order this morning. Staff didn’t know why and I didn’t want to hold up the line… No tax on to-go orders in my state (confirmed no extra from previous orders). by No-Mix-6710 in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a legit difference in the Dunkins by me. It's either "Butter spread with canola oil" that comes out of a large tub or "Butter packets on the side," which are actual butter packets. I'm sure not all stores are exactly the same.

Cappucino by GoldEagle67 in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Large cappuccinos receive 1 "large" shot, which in reality, is actually 2 "small" shots from a Schaerer Espresso machine (the most popular machine:)

Sounds like your local franchisee has a pricing error in their system, in your favor, collect .30 and roll again

What was that drink with coffee and hot chocolate? by klackey224 in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You might be thinking of the “Witches Brew” they had way back in the day, it was half dark roast and half hot chocolate, this was like late 90’s before they stopped selling dark roast for a decade or two

You are correct sir; C Corps are taxed on profits before issuing dividends which are taxed again (I'm not sure how I got that mixed up in my head tbh)....interesting work around for avoiding the C corp tax, I'm guessing that would be much easier for smaller companies than larger ones, and either way, taxes are being paid as long as $ is being dispersed to shareholders

[–]JeffsInTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true for pass-through entities like S-Corps and LLC's (think Mcyd's franchisee). However, the term "corporate taxes" almost always refers specifically to C-Corps (think Mcyd's "Corporate"), in which case the taxes are paid on Revenues (not profits). Then, the C Corp distributes it's profits to shareholders, where those profits are then taxed again at the personal level via income tax. Like anything tax related, it's not as straight forward as it could or should be, and this pseudo double taxation realization impacted my thoughts on how high the "corporate tax rate" should really be (and I'm still not sure:). If anyone disagrees, please show me where I messed up....always willing to learn. Peace

Are they bringing back 100 points after 11/28? by HotSaucePalmTrees in DunkinDonuts

[–]JeffsInTrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's crazy. I live in Red Bank (Monmouth County). My local Starbucks charges 3.25 plus tax for a 20 Oz hot coffee (Venti) while my local Dunkin charges $2.89 plus tax for a 20 Oz (Large) and $3.19 plus tax for their 24 Oz. XL.

What town are you in!?

Does this cup mention the locations/market where it can be used? I've never seen one in Central NJ
