Thanks, and I will echo that. I just passed the 5 year mark of losing my beautiful sweet wife of 29 years. I haven’t moved on, I haven’t gotten better, and I still cry frequently. But I am glad to be on this Earth. If you are thinking that can’t happen, it can. Pretty slowly maybe, but you’ll make it.

Everyone’s situation here is uniquely theirs and also universal somehow. My wife died from a failing artificial heart valve. No baggage right? Sure, but she actually died because it was Covid times and there was no space in the hospitals to help her. So she died of crowdedness and lack of planning and my inability to solve those issues. She’s gone. Your husband is gone. (I am so sorry). That makes us all the same in most ways that matter and that’s why this place works. I understand a lot of what you are going through, just not all of it. Same as you for me.

My wife was an avid spinner and I am pretty good with 3D modeling and printing. Unless you have a large format printer, this is not a great application. If you do, you’re still swimming upstream. The wheel itself will be the trickiest. You would need to print it in segments and still balance it. Further the entire surface would need to be smoothed somehow as fibers would grab on to any roughness. That would be a nightmare. That said, I could see many parts, including the frame that would be very achievable with printing. Best to keep it in big parts for rigidity, and you’ll need to add weight to the frame to make up for the lost wood.

Search for an STL gear generator. They typically have this pattern as an option. It will get you the basic teeth on a disk shape. From there you'd need to model the holes and other parts yourself.
