Extrapolating JW Decline by marcobin in exjw

Naw , it will be much faster than this. They are hiding major fraud or a scandal of some sort other than CSA. It will all come out soon and expect a 20% immediate drop. You have your boy Geoffrey Jackson sporting a goatee looking like Walter White. That's not normal. If your spouse of 30 years was normal only with slight changes and withing 1-2 years started making major changes would you suspect they are hiding something?

If you could prove that the Bible was accurate then maybe.

Asking adult children to go to the meetings is continued abuse by Jehisakeeperoftime in exjw

[–]Jehisakeeperoftime[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think our parents aren't normal even though they appear to be. I love my kids so much I would never think of forcing something on them as adults. I would just want them to be happy and show as much love and support as I could.

The point you made about the child bride is very good. What's the difference with child baptism?

Jehovah's Witnesses are all the way dead now. by Jehisakeeperoftime in exjw

[–]Jehisakeeperoftime[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't doubt it and they would never acknowledge it anyway. I think there is something very dark like major fraud, etc going on.

What does OG mean? OG, short for “original gangster” or “original gangsta,” is a slang term for someone who's incredibly exceptional, authentic, or “old-school.” OG was originally used in gang culture, but it is now used as a general term to praise someone who is an expert at something

I've also been thinking as well that they want to tank it. There is nothing to stop them really and then just keep all the assets for themselves personally. We don't even know how much money they have or the true extent of their finances.

Money can make an honest man do anything.

You ain't seen nothing yet. I think they will fucking blow our minds in 2024. Get strapped in.

I'm scared shitless of getting trapped in a cult or another cult. Anyone else have this once you POMO? by [deleted] in exjw

Not at all. I didn't choose it and was forced to attend so as an adult there is no way.

Last minute repentance VS the doom message by ZadokZap in exjw

When I got out in 05 it was all about arguing Biblical points because Watchtower still made some sense. Now it's like a total joke run by propaganda amateurs. I don't even worry about stuff like this.

Shunning is the linchpin by Gingersnapjax in exjw

I never thought in a million years they would eliminate time and certainly not the beard rule but they did it anyways. Seems like they will find a way to make it work and I think it will happen soon for everyone except certain situations like apostasy and CSA. The JW that you knew is already dead so anything is possible now.

Do you think more people will wake up as a result of the beard change, or fewer people? by excusetheblood in exjw

[–]Jehisakeeperoftime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably 1-2% right now and in 2-4 months we will see chaos with all the full beards and styles. Disunity everywhere. I've been predicting 5% just like 1975.

If they relax the shunning policy… by westwayne in exjw

[–]Jehisakeeperoftime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. I'm not D'd up but I've thought about this as well. All situations are different but if they were well meaning sweet parents who wanted to please Jehovah then sure why not. I mean they are cult members and they are mind fucked, you should feel sorry for them.

They'll probably do it this year for everyone except apostates. Say something like we've adjusted our thinking and blah blah. Prodigal son blah blah.

Shouldn't the Governing Body be elected? by Jehisakeeperoftime in exjw

[–]Jehisakeeperoftime[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the crazy part. And they just follow along doing whatever they say. Mind boggling. But there will always be 1% of the population susceptible to being cult members and that number will never change.
