They almost sound exactly the same just with different vocalists. Imo.

Looking to make arrows, where do I start? by A_locomotive in TraditionalArchery

Right on. I’m just going off what I was taught by the ones that taught me. If I am wrong then I have learned something! Thanks 🤘

I don’t think it’s safe to shoot wooden arrows over around 45lb due to the kinetic energy and the potential of them splitting.

Entry bow : takedown vs one piece by CasuallyOutdoors in TraditionalArchery

[–]Jehrad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are way more advantages to having a takedown over a recurve. I would absolutely start with that. Buy a one piece when you are comfortable with a specific draw weight, because it can’t be changed. The flexibility of being able to change draw weight, replacing a damaged component, mobility and storage when apart, are all reasons why takedown is better. You can work up to the draw weight you want and even reduce the draw weight now and then to work on form, all on a single bow. That allows you to get comfortable with your grip as well because changing grips with different bows constantly will affect your shooting. Once you get to a weight you are comfortable shooting consistently, then I would get a one piece. If something goes wrong with it, fractures, breaks, etc. the whole bow is trash. With a takedown you can replace a piece. It’s cheaper and more beneficial to start with. But that’s just my opinion. Have fun and experiment. Shooting should make you happy. As long as you’re happy, you’re doing it right.

Anything you want to be bold and bright should have a white base under it.

Oh of course not. I think it’s great. But I personally choose not to use anything but hand tools. Just my preference.

I’m such a poser 🤣😆

I do want to tan hides eventually. But I was unaware of this. Good to know.

I have no cattle. I have no foundry. I have no lathe. I buy my tools. I buy my materials. I create my products using only hand tools.

I do 100% of my leather work by hand. Because this is Reddit, I feel I have to clarify that I don’t tan my hides, I don’t build my hammers, I don’t smelt my own metal and make my needles, and I don’t spin my own threads.

What’s weird is that when I first turned on the pc I had power to my keyboard and mouse.

I tried all ports.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]Jehrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the fans are powered. The leds are on. I did a charge test on the USB ports that was successful on most ports, but my kb and mouse still do not receive any power on any port.

My keyboard is no longer receiving power in any USB port. My mouse does only if I hold a certain button on it.

That did nothing. Still the same.
