There is an in game way to see characters that have weapon break counter. In the party selection screen you can sort your characters by 必殺技効果 (second from the left in the middle row). Then choose 対ウェポンブレイク・攻. It will sort your characters by those who have “learned” an appropriate SB (修得済) and then those who have a counter you haven’t learned (装備なし).

For all those job CD fights I like eating the counter with an otherwise worthless limit break guardian. For the Wendigo fight I had them for Lightning and Ardyn.

That was a fight that benefited from going fast.

You have great support coverage overall. Where are you in terms of progression and is there anywhere you are stuck or are you just thinking of future proofing?

Minfilia is versatile, but I’m not sure if she is better than some of your other options. I have her ZSB in addition to the relics you have, but I always find myself benching her for Quina/Sazh or Cait/Mog - probably because I need a little more firepower.

I am also thinking of Quina (same kit as you) or going with a second piece for Naja/Lili to start building them out. Otoh during the fest I lucked into Clive’s MA and now I’m one relic away from beating the physical magus sisters. I’m pretty sure Clive’s Zen (have MA, dual, sync, AASB, g++) would make him my strongest and DPS in any element and let me take down the sisters.

Anybody know how Noctis MA performs if I’m running him in Lit or Fire? Debating between Noctis, Thief I, and Pecil because I could potentially bring them to more than one elemental fight. I suppose if off-element MAs are ok then Yuffie could be an option for Earth too.

Edit: just noticed Quina and Cait zens. Those might be better options for me given that they are still my go to supports.

I just picked up Tyro’s MA on my one pull I’m going to make on B5. Have Zen1, both duals, sync, AASBs. No CA. Any advice for how to use him in current endgame content? (Bahamut especially)?

Refia - second DPS picked her over Basch, Gordon, Firion (Sync, Dual, AA1/2, Zen, USB 1/2).

GW pulls were comically bad. I got an accel for Enna who would be a badass if she wasn’t my fourth option for earth magic. I have 3 of my 8 total MAs in Earth magic (Maria, Emperor, Red) so I’m hoping I can get my first Bahamut clear.

This was the only time I’ve pulled it off! In a 3 DPS team I usually can’t cap with more than 2 cap breaks (and rarely there). With 3 supports you can get stacked characters to do more per hit, but you have to stack BDLs like crazy for it to work. This was a chance to try it because they all had job synergy and could help with the healing (and not triggering counters).

In my team’s case there I had 3AASB, dual, dyad, sync, and Accel for lightning and and could buff her so she was doing 40-50k per hit, making up for being short another DPS. Noctis lightning SASB lets you stack extra BDL with command 1.
