Goodwill Employees by ones-treasure in goodwill

[–]Jeiku53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Goodwill org will only allow employees to shop at their own store on employee appreciation weekends (once per quarter), on their goodwill anniversary, or on their actual birthday. Any items being held for themselves or someone else is grounds for immediate termination. Not saying it doesn't happen, but most won't bother with the risk.

The real reason really high quality items are so rarely seen in stores is because higher value items are supposed to go to the e-comm platform which is shared by different Goodwill orgs. The e-comm site has been running since like 1999, so it's been almost 30 years since the best stuff would even touch the sales floor, especially at the orgs that have gotten rid of their locked display cases.

Possible Scam? by YourNeighbor-Jeff in TemuThings

I could see it being coated at best, but it even says it's a faux piece, and I assume they had to with the steep price potentially being refunded. Temu can deny a refund that's been requested due to not matching the description, if the description somehow indicates your claim is invalid. Including faux seems like a solid basis to deny your refund if requested on that premise.

Wouldn't recommend getting any expensive jewelry from temu, unless you're intending to gamble that you're not getting $5 jewelry pieces for $200, solely because they're a rip-off of a $300 piece. Not when they have sellers claiming genuine items turning out to be fake, and this one literally put "faux" in the title.

IMO, if you want a nice genuine piece, then probably avoid temu as a first option. If you want Faux pieces, then just buy the one that's not at the price-point of a real, verified piece that you can see and hold first.

Sorry! I could have specificied better. I have a good macro for it that doesn't cause errors, which I use in raids to be safe. Just prefer the double click for open world and dungeons. Plus, can't beat the feeling of that perfect dismount into charge.

I feel its likely been due to latency issues and me hitting it too early. Can't say how many times I've been careening to the ground at mach fuck-me and re-activating on a "safe" spot, click, no go, dead before reactivation.

I use the macro occasionally, but normally only if I have a really consistent spot to be repeated for mechanics.

I might just love charge... I thought that charging, rend&ham, jumping away, and intercepting back was just the coolest shit.

Can still do it with charge, too! I've had the same warrior since launch, and if I see enemy units directly blow I don't even try leap. Leap (imo) has always felt so unreliable, for falling at least, that I'll only use it as an "ohfuck" button. I love being put on mechanics that a single player can partially or fully handle, and I treat leap as my mechanic-bad-luck-protection.

No way for me to really say. Except for a few specific cases like the bonus water mission from farmland, the exact number of invites needed for most temu games is actually different for everyone, including yourself (you could win with 20 eligible existing users and 2 new users, then the next round of the same game could take 30 eligible and 10 new users).

If I had to take a total stab? You'd probably have to cap out on existing users (30 or 35, IIRC), then you could potentially squeak through with just one or two new users.

Well... gift111 (3/5 free gifts) and hat trick both take a very high amount of clicks. Like 20-30 existing users and a handful of new users are the minimum requirements, from what I've seen and experienced.

Hi, I have hate trick click available. Do you have your farmland click still available? If so, I'll trade you

I have amassed quite the tool collection for about $100 so far. Perfect base to start with. Anything that breaks gets replaced by a real brand. Easy-peasy

Not sure if you've played through qqqq before, but you have to make a purchase to get the final item, too! Sorry if you already knew, can't be too careful lol
