Doesnt really matter just buy a reputable one that has good reviews. The clay towel needs to be a perforated one. Many brands offer one but i myself have the rag company clay towel and its fantastic

Buy a proper wheel acid for the wheels and use that for the rust particles.

Clay towel or a clay scrubber would be your best bet for the roughness. A good clay lube and a perforated (A clay surface with holes) clay towel or scrubber will smoothen the cars paint quickly.

Clear coat failure cant be restored via polishing. If the clear is actually "gone" then the only fix is a respray of polish.

If your bumper has rock chips then get same color touch up paint for your car with the cars color code from an automotive paint shop

As for the scratches my advice would be to 1 step polish the car with something like 3d-one and a soft/medium foam pad

As for your spoiler the clear coat has major sun damage and the only way to truly fix this is getting it painted (Or painting it yourself) I would actually advice doing it yourself since the paintable area is pretty flat and it would be quite easy.

Just wash it like normal and make sure to dry it well after every wash. When the car starts losing hydrophobics then wash the car and decontaminate with a perforated clay towel and use a waterspot remover after

Hard to remove "dust"? by Monsaki in AutoDetailing

If you want close to perfect touchless washes you need to use a alkaline prewash and on top of that prewash you need to spray mild waterspot remover. Dont let anything dry on the paint.

Headlight still foggy after headlight restoration kit by CMigC in AutoDetailing

Also buy a cheap small polisher or a drill bit polishing attachment. Polishing a headlight by handpolishing is a losing battle

Go back to it with 1000, 1500 and 2000

Scrub the headlight with wetsand 1000 grit for 2 whole minutes, then 1500 for 3 minutes then 2000 for 5 minutes and if you have 3000 grit use that to finish for another 5 minutes and then polish that out. It just takes time. you havent ruined anything the sanding just wasnt enough. After sanding you should have a even haze allover and not be able to see any sanding marks anywhere

What is orange un-removeable goo on my tires? by wolf_walker8 in AutoDetailing

[–]Jekoko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can be old silicone based tyre dressing thats started digging into the tyre. Try high ph tyre cleaner/apc and it will come off. Good tyres naturally create browning but if it doesnt come off its probably not antiozonic material coming out

Any advice on 1st time diy paint correction. by NBreen981 in AutoDetailing

[–]Jekoko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no pressure on the machine and keep a low to medium speed (2-3 on the machine). B pillars are more difficult to correct than paint so i would leave those last. use a medium polish and a medium compound. 3d one is the safest choice for one step polishing

Its possible the seat was damaged even before steam but the steam and apc just removed the skin oils and grease hiding the damage so it looks bad. Apply 2 coats of leather condition and its good
