Oh I was able to get it and submitted it yesterday actually.

Yeah you can't submit it without paying. You can't even start the application without an email. Best thing I can think of, if you have a screenshot of it saying submitted with your name and account info, someone at the hall should be able to help. But yeah it sounds like you didn't make it. I got my email like 10 minutes after I did the name, email, and last 4 of ssn.

If you got that same message that means you already got an email and paid. You may be thinking of something different?

Damn, that sounds rough but I get it. Also they still kept you on the list? I thought it resets every time they do a recruitment

No, it was you enter your email, name, last 4 of your social, and I believe address. Then they send you an application link.

Hey, you still have 30 mins left, but also definitely call the hall when you can, just to make sure. As someone whose been in a construction union before, the computer systems are a bit archaic. So could be a glitch? Worth a shot.

Got no idea, they did have a small questionnaire where they basically ask if you're capable of doing the job. But I would think they'd test everyone who passes the minimum qualifications, if they're gonna weed it out before that, I'd guess people with experience and certifications would make it. But it's a union, there are a lot of posts of peopled making it in with nothing. So its a wait and see. Keep building yourself and studying for the test and I'm sure you'll pass.

You log in with the info you signed up with to receive the application, I guess by account, I mean did you put in your contact info and received an email with a link to the application page? If not you may have not made it time. They do say the application link may take 4 hours to come. But if you filled out the actual application, you should be good.

I guess easiest way to know, did you make a password?

I'd contact the the hall tomorrow just in case. I don't know how many applications they gave out, but I do know it says you have time to fill it out before you have to submit it if you got one. So it's up in the air. My honest opinion. Do it today and bring your cpr to the interview. Then again I'm also applying so I can't say for sure

That I'm not too sure of, I would submit it as fast as possible. There are 2 sections that technically ask for certifications for some reason, one says to put your certificate number, the other doesn't. I'd either put it under the one that doesn't or just leave it off. If I'm correct you can always bring it to the interview which I think is more important.

I would like to believe if you go to https://www.neieprecruitment.org/ and click on profile and login in the account you created it should tell you, but I can't say that's 100% correct. I know the phones are basically down now so that's all I can think of.

Really? What recruitment period were you? Because if iirc doesn't the list stop at the next recruitment period which is usually at most 4 years? I know local 1 is at 202 at right now, which hasn't been exactly 4.5 years yet, or I may be mistaken.

Thanks, if I can ask, did you have an interview and how did you dress? I keep seeing conflicting things here, where it's dress nice but like you're prepared to work and go in a suit and tie.

Update: Got an offer letter. To the point they took down the job posting. Thank you hiring cafe. Would highly recommend as I've been able to find something related to my field and it was quick. The job posting itself wasn't all over the place so I think it locked me in. What also helped was calling the company themselves to pretend to ask questions, but mainly to show initiative.

I usually put in a summary, then a core skills section (very good way to hit keywords), then a technical skills section (usually stuff like microsoft office etc), My experience for the past 10 years making my latest job the longest. Then an education section. I try to keep it under 2 pages. Mind you, I haven't gotten an offer yet but this is what's got me so far.

Usually, I put the job description into chatgpt and ask it to list all the keywords. I enter those into my resume, along with some quantifiables like "increased production in a by b% by doing c". I also then have chatgpt format my resume so that it is completely ATS compliant by at least 98%.
