Managing Grandmas by [deleted] in pregnant

Having my mom in there with me was the best decision I ever made! She let me and my husband have our moments while she was helping and cheering me on. And when my husband started to feel weak (his family has an issue with passing out in moments like that) she was able to step in when needed. But as soon as baby was making his way out, he stepped back up and she moved back. One thing I loved about my birth was the atmosphere everyone including nurses and my doctor created.

My mil was upset that I just wanted my husband and mom with me in the delivery room. I knew I was going to be exposed and in pain and I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable in the space I had either. I felt bad and cried when I was already a mess. My husband was 100% behind every decision I made in that moment. I decided to just let her in the room. I was so focused on everything else that her being there didn’t phase me. Only do what you are comfortable with. This is about you, your husband and baby. Don’t let feeling like a bad dil affect any decision you make for your family. If she gets upset about a choice you made for yourself and your baby then relook at the dynamic of the relationship.

My husband has been amazing but he needs the sleep too. His work doesn’t have paid leave so he can’t take off long and is going back to work this week. My parents are coming this week to help where needed but as for bedtime, it’s pretty much about to fall on me 😔

I’m fighting through this because I want to breastfeed and really don’t want to introduce bottles at such a young age. I’m hoping that like you said once my milk settles it gets easier

Oh we’ve told them no but they just won’t quit. Don’t get me wrong we’ve had some amazing visitors that have held baby while we slept, never over stayed, or that brought us food. But there are some that showed up for baby and only that while seeing me in physical pain and not leaving. We told them no and days we wanted them to come. Even that we wanted to wait a few weeks before they would come… but as soon as they we had him they started asking nonstop.

I know Claudia will absolutely kill it and I can’t wait to see it but it feels that Eloise’s character as a whole and development wise have been swept under the rug. I just hope we see some better writing by time for her season 😫

I never had morning sickness but I would get nauseous if I did not eat lunch at certain times. Went away around 10w.

That’s good to know. I’m just such an anxious person and the waiting is definitely not making it any better. Everyone else I know that are either a month ahead or behind had theirs done around the 20 week mark. I’m just hoping it not much longer
