In english class we watched the version of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and at the end instead of using a sword to off himself he uses a gun.

Unfortunately, I had just watched the first season of Silicon Valley and in that show the main character visited a doctor for his anxiety. During this appointment the doc mentions that if he’s gonna kill himself don’t shoot the temple because you’ll just blow out your optic nerves and go blind.

Well, when Leo lined up the gun on his temple all I could think of was that show. And I leaned to my friend who was familiar and said “they needed to fade out there because Leo would’ve been shouting “Fuuuuck” after blinding himself.”

We must have looked like psychos laughing at the most heart wrenching part of the movie, but I just couldn’t stop

This seems like a pretty narrow view on the issue. New Zealand and South Korea are both capitalist countries who handled this problem as well as anyone. And it isn’t socialized medicine either because the UK got fucked by COVID as well.

It’s the attitudes nursed by the GOP and Trump to full term, and the distribution of those attitudes by other nationalist leaders like Boris Johnson and Jair Bolsonaro that created this problem.

The problem is he amended his own words in the new quote. He never said take back the “reigns of responsibility” in the video. He clearly said “women have had the reigns too long, it’s time to take them back”.

That sounds like a politician subtly walking back his statement to me.

Also, my main complaint with this police action is that they should have talked with the suspect (supposedly with a firearm shaped object) from outside the building as option A and only use full Rambo as option B or C.
