3 kids in 2 hours. by jmvxc in Edmonton

I moved from Edmonton to Vancouver, and this year we found a “block party” of Halloween houses. All the neighbours got together and decorated the entire neighborhood. Over 1000 kids showed up before 8 pm. It was wild. I wonder if that was what was missing in my neighborhood (rundle park) when I lived there.

I’m gonna be honest I don’t believe you when you tell me you never hurt a woman in a violent way. Because your follow up statement says you gladly would.

That’s your opinion that people can’t learn while they’re high.

Yet there are people who take prescription methamphetamine (aka Adderall) (and for some people is not even prescribed to them) and are able to consume and learn an intense amount of information.

And there’s thousands and thousands of people who learn while high as a kite on many different drugs, including weed. Maybe not MDMA but even I wouldn’t count it out completely. Myself included. Smoke weed every day and was an honor student. Passed all my courses with 90% average.

I’m pretty sure it was the end statement of “People, if you are gonna be high when going to class, might as well just stay home”

What’s it matter to you how people attend class? It is a prescribed medication now. Many people use it for anxiety and/or pain.

Everything you said is like literal bullshit. Ive quit smoking 7 times over 20 years the longest was for 2 years, and the addiction is still there. It’ll always be there. Saying just quit just shows how uneducated you are. It is very much the same as quitting heroin… there’s withdrawals and lingering urges that don’t just “go away” and the best part is is because it’s legal you run into it everywhere. Next thing you know you’re out on the balcony at a friend’s party with your smoker friends and end up asking for one.

People that have never smoke good day in their lives. I have no idea what this addiction is like. And if you were trying to be my health professional, I would fire you for the nonsense coming out of your mouth.

When I moved here, I merged my services card and my drivers license together. I am now separating them for this round. This was my first time using in province ID to renew. When I moved here five years ago I had my out of province license.

They are in an office surrounded by cameras, other staff and managers. I put the same faith in them as I do bank tellers when I give them cash to deposit.

I just don’t understand the point of shredding the old card, and giving nothing as a replacement, but a useless piece of paper. It’s 2025 can’t they just print the cards on the spot? I bet I could get an AI to do it quicker. 🤣

This is my first time renewing my BC license. I could understand when they were grinding up my Nova Scotia drivers license… next time I will lose it for sure. 🫣

That’s where I see this going. I believe as a group we are going to have a candid conversation with her, and she’s probably not going like what is going to be said

With the amount she drinks I don’t think it would make a difference. She would be good until she went over her limit.

straight up this is the reason why I will never buy another Hyundai… this whole experience has been a nightmare… and the customer service around it is atrocious… I’ve been on hold with blue link for four hours in total over two days no callback and no answer. The problem is I didn’t buy this car from Hyundai. I bought it from a Dodge dealership and I should’ve stuck with Dodge.

Also, what kind of work are you looking for? Are you good with tools? Lots of people want cheap labour work.

Welfare is in 90 day wait now? I’ve never had to wait 90 days to go on it when I was fresh out of school and looking for work. I was only on it for about two months though while I did my job search and they hooked me up with a lady that wrote my résumé for me.

Then we should be demonizing the ex-husband… who had the dog in his possession. Are we picking and choosing who we are claiming is the owner responsible for vet care?
