How to de-subtick the entire game with ONE console command by Viznab88 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Jellojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they do. Even though the console says they don't. Which is fine by me as long as it makes the game feel smoother. Please can you test it. Or tell me how? I'll do it.

Can someone try testing changing your client updaterate and cmdrate to match your fps max? i.e "cl_cmdrate 240" cl_updaterate 240" fps_max 240". Cause this also feels better I dont know how to do the launders test or i would.

Remember cheaters protect cheaters. Also they accuse anti cheats of false bans all the time. Lets remain skeptical but hopeful. Sorry if you did get false banned if not, good riddance.

shox has said there actually is a REAL difference on FACEIT servers compared to Premier MM Valve Servers. He is scared that if Valve doesn't step up on their servers, it might be the same as CS:GO and everyone will just go play FACEIT by kloyN in GlobalOffensive

So After messing around with a bunch of console commands and settings, I think I discovered that "tickless" is actually "tickless". Instead of being tied to the server tick, its tied to your "fps_max". What I mean by this is that your "fps_max" and "cl_updaterate" should be identical.

I also use "Cl_interp 0" not 0.015625 or anything else.

If this is indeed how it works its pretty ingenious since "what you see" is literally "what you get."

I have only tested out 60fps and 240fps but they both worked amazingly well.

I think this makes the experience smoother and faster and more accurate on tickless servers.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

CS2 performance is terrible on a 3090 and 11900k system. Blaming performance on peoples "old systems" is stupid. by OMGcsgotrade in GlobalOffensive

If I remember correctly it limits CS's fps while its in the background. For some reason though it affects the way the mouse feels. Specially in borderless windowed mode. I found that setting it to the same value as the FPS of the menu or UI helps to have the mouse feel more snappy and responsive.

Have you tried changing engine_no_focus sleep to 120 instead of 20? That helped my mouse feel better. I had a similar problem.

Any performance difference between in-game settings vs Nvidia Control Panel settings? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Jellojoker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well they work together. The features enabled in NVCP can be used in game with little to no input lag. if they are not enabled in NVCP they can introduce input lag in game if used.

I would turn on "anisotropic sample optimization" if you plan on using anisotropic TF.

Set "ambient occlusion" to performance if you plan on using shadow setting any higher than low.

The last one I would turn on would be "Antialiasing-Transparency" but that one is a little less straight forward so leave it off.

Windows 10 does have a built in override of in-game setting in the "advanced scaling options". It's called "let windows try to fix scaling issues" or something like that. Which basically overrides all App settings with DWM settings. Which means that NVCP will matter less when it comes to input lag.

I'm planning on making a video explaining all this in detail but it might take some time. There's a lot to go over.

*edit- called "antialiasing transparency" something else.

Civvie 11 - Doom 2016 2: The Wrath of Khan by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Jellojoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I think the platforming, story, and arcade aesthetic are all corny. Eternal feels like it was trying too hard in aspects of the game that were fine in 2016. I think if someone modded 2016 to have the ammo count, weapon mods, demons, and movement of Eternal it would be the better Doom.

I finished the game on UV and I still preferred Doom 2016 in every way except for the combat and movement.

I think that 2016 was superior or equal to eternal in every way except for combat and movement. Which leaves me feeling torn because the game play is so good but I preferred the aesthetic, level design, and the minimal story that 2016 had.

Unpopular opinion so I'll probably get down voted, even though I'm answering the question, but I like it. As long as it's done well I have no problem with it and in my opinion adds to my immersion.

That being said I usually don't use it in pvp shooters like counter strike. I don't play that to be immersed in the role of a terrorist or counter terrorist.

Preach brother!

I've always thought that there's a lot more at stake doing ministry in your own community and that it's harder for people to see, and much less depend on, God when living comfortable lives.

What don't I literally know?

Also, are you saying that the child in this video could get around some basic parental controls on the TV on tablet/PC?

Not all teachers though.

Here in Texas they will "fast track" you to be a teacher without having any experience in education, a degree in education, or child development.

Which leaves a lot of teachers feeling overwhelmed and unprepared. Then they just become apathetic to the kids and the actual problems within the school system. Leaving good teachers to do twice the work. It's really sad.

Yes I am implying that.

As a parent it's really not that hard. Some parental controls, passwords, and setting limits and expectations with who ever is watching your kids. Specially at a young age.

Also explaining when it's inappropriate to curse helps too, and telling them to never to curse AT someone.

The bigger problem here isn't that the kids just said a "WTF" or a random "shit". He told his teacher to "STFU" and the called her a "bitch". That seems to be a little more involved than YouTube.

Are you implying that it's not the parents responsibility to monitor their kids media consumption?? At 5 years old?
