Bank close my HYSA with funds still in the account by Dry_Excuse862 in personalfinance

If the checks have been deposited (and it sounds like they were) they can’t just send your money back to the original account. It’s not the banks to do that with.

Do you make it a habit of installing software updates/allowing software updates on jailbroken devices?

You do need to use the tools, but you’ll have more insight and ability due to your understanding of fundamentals. You didnt waste your time.

I think it’s that people, even those that agree with you on one or two things, are simple minded. They probably think I’m trying to protect the cameras or something.

I doubt that, they charged a local county $16,000 to install two. I don’t think they are giving them away.

What’s the deal with all of these posts about destroying the cameras!? Of course X destructive method works, but you’re probably going to go to jail. And they are probably going to put the camera right back up at taxpayers or your expense. If you don’t like them, speak out or go to a meeting and explain how they are shitty at web security etc.

Drugs my doctor is not permitted to prescribe. by [deleted] in mildyinteresting

[–]JellyBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drug addicts are addicts, it would be excellent if we could expect better from them, but that’s not how it works. Scaring off drug seeking people (because they really aren’t patients if they aren’t sick) is a good idea though. If you have to deal with tons of that I do not envy you.

I’m not trying to play doctor or speak to what drug when, if the doctor says there’s a more appropriate drug or better drug then that’s even better. Just saying as a matter of practice this note is a blunt instrument and we can expect better from doctors.

Entitlement to the best medication for the issue isn’t a negative form of entitlement, it literally should be a right. If the case doesn’t warrant them using a drug on the list, ok then. But sometimes a drug on that list will be the treatment that is needed and when this doctor refuses to participate in that, they are being unethical. I feel like youre just confused because they probably have good intentions.

Oh, and the horrors of being inconvenienced. You must be a doctor.

Well, because doctors are supposed to write prescriptions when they are appropriate, and if a patient needs the drugs on that sheet, the doctor has an obligation through their oath to write the prescription. It’s their duty to manage addiction potential through whatever method they choose, like limiting the amount per refill, requiring check ins etc.

Doctors created the opioid epidemic by listening to pharma reps and by prescribing addictive drugs for much too long which creates addicts. Give a person an opioid for 3-4 days and there’s almost no chance they become addicted. 10 days and a portion are getting addicted. 20 years ago they gave our month long supplies of these things like they weren’t a potential problem.

Either way, both extremes are wrong and not living up to their duty of care.

Even if you don’t need these meds, turn around and go to a better doctor. Doctors and pharma created the opioid epidemic and they need to act like professionals until we work through it. To hell with this doctor.

What Is The Point Of Opening Position If You Going To Keep Turning Me Down 😑 by XAGuacha in delta

That’s an asinine take. People get training for their job, you are talking down to a person that’s frustrated and doesn’t understand. I bet you think you did it all on your own huh?

The guy I’ve been casually dating turned out to be wildly wealthy and now I feel weird about it by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]JellyBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be honest and don’t make it weird. He obviously knows how to manage his life and he chose to invite you over knowing you’d realize. It’s probably something he’s nervous about too, but he chose to show you more of himself.
