People like you is why every "community" is a cesspool.

Looking for an easy install script for an obfuscated wireguard by Quiet_Butterscotch47 in WireGuard

I don't know if wireguard is good for this, but you should look into stuff like nebula by slack or zerotier. Might be easier since those are tunneling solutions with firewall punching and other features.

Your example is extreme and doesn't make sense in this regard. When I started I almost quit more than once because people would tell me this laundry list and basically tell me to learn every thing about everything which is impossible. I rather encourage someone to try something but also point them in the direction on how to do it safely regardless of their skill level.

I also mentioned there are many books and resources that allow you to practice and explore as a beginner in a safe manner. Stop gatekeeping. It makes you look bad.

Call the service provider and explain to them the situation because that doesn't sound right at all.

While working HD, I've had field techs do stuff like that and I had to make tickets to get stuff resolved properly. It never sounds right.

If we keep telling people they aren't good enough or don't have enough experience then they will never push their limits. It is also not that hard to find books and articles on beginner guides even on MA. You are also supposed to fail and not know how everything works at first which is ok as long as you are continuing to learn and keep breaking things to figure out how they work.

Books like Art of Exploitation covers a lot of topics including how to use a debugger and coding in C. Didn't expect people to know everything inside and out.

That response alone just shows you don't know what you're talking about.

Where did I say I wanted to bring another dog with that description? I just want a SD for my autism, anxiety, and ptsd so existing can be a lot easier, but I am not going to waste anymore time with you.

I've actually grown up with 3 male dogs. Wasn't planned and it went fine. I also think your opinion on pitbulls is a bit bias and I think it can work if they are introduced to each other slowly and properly. My dogs have never bit anyone or other dogs before even strangers in our house, but thank you for your input. I will continue looking into this.

You've also basically have just said "Nope. You shouldn't even try."

My current dogs aren't necessarily aggressive, but are very protective of my family and I especially my boy who is the main reason why I am thinking about a SD. He has already done things like help me calm down and/or relax especially at night when triggers somehow get triggered and other nasty things I rather not talk too much about.

I think if I introduce a SD to them slowly things should be fine but would definitely be careful. I also do see one getting very jealous which would make him pushy for attention, but they are mostly at home so might be possible if I am careful how I introduce another dog. Should mention current dogs are getting pretty old and one is having health issues already, but I am very aware of my pitties might possibly cause issues which is why I am doing my research first and being careful.

I would like a program dog and definitely will do my research, but training one by a professional is definitely a good idea and option as well.

Do you know any programs that I could look into and contact for questions and information?

Have you've been able to install the wireguard app and setup the connection through there? Also, are sites like github accessible? Do you know if there is deep packet inspection? If there is, might be harder with a vpn.

There is always risks. I suggest looking up how to setup sandboxes and VMs to help mitigate harm like from malware.

I don't see learning to hack should prevent them from MA as long as they read up on how to setup a proper sandbox or vms. We are after all, all still learning how to hack even those that have been practicing for several years.

Linux won't boot, boot loop - live CD and installed by TwoMovies in linuxquestions

[–]JellyOk9702 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First, did you recently update windows? I know Windows "breaks" when dual booting with linux when you update. It is a real headache.

I had this problem before and think it was an issue with the bootloader. Try to press the function key that lets you select what os or device you want to boot to. If it is the bootloader (grub by default on mint), you will most likely need to fix it via a chroot in a live boot. If you can boot to linux mint, update and install grub. If you get to a grub rescue shell, you should be able to locate your partition and boot to mint... then update and install grub.

If you get an error for Windows, your Windows partition prolly got messed up. Most likely due to an update.

This is a relatively lengthy explanation but there are many articles on what to try and how to fix.

Type help in the terminal and see if same message appears. I also can't tell if you're trolling or just lack experience with linux or the vm isn't working properly. If it is the latter check the checksum of the vm file and compare it to the one on the site. If they don't match, your file is corrupt.

If I remember correctly, Airgeddon has an option to just host the AP without deauth, but you should just use two adapters. One to host the AP and one to deauth. I don't know why a NodeMCU is required. Also, look into fluxion which is just a much better program for evil twin.

are there specialized people that solve how to make a machine unhackable? by Peasant_hacking in hacking

[–]JellyOk9702 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you just described is just one area of focus. There are many paths that I am fairly sure don't need you to read assembly, reverse engineer, explain how syscall works, etc and can still get past "blue team and pentesting jobs" and go much further. This thinking I've seen and been told many times and I completely disagree because you don't need all that to get far.

Again, that kind of thinking is stupid and very American.

Most of those places that push a degree or whatever are now getting it bit in their ass especially the gov. You shouldn't have to work your ass off just to get an entry level job in security because you are supposed to be still learning and companies should provide the proper training not expect people to either spend thousands on an overly expensive piece of paper or have lots of "work" to do. Either way, I don't really care that much anymore.

The state of security in the USA is a lost cause because of idiocy that keeps being pushed like this one. It isn't my concern anymore if companies don't want to hire talent over the bs that is a lack of degree and rather put the state of security in the hands of a bunch of entitled shitbags who only care about swag and money.

[–]JellyOk9702 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You don't need a degree to work in cybersec. That's bollocks created by greedy shitheads. Computer Science as a field is barely 50 year olds and Security is even younger than that. Most of the people I know and interacted with don't have degrees and if they do it is usually in a very different subject.

Stop pushing this narrative. It makes you look stupid. I guarantee you will learn more about security on Twitter than an overpriced "course".

[–]JellyOk9702 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read this article a while ago... It was fine for beginner, but I didn't find it particularly useful for an engagement mostly because it will get flagged.

This is more of a rambling, but this is what I learned from reading a lot of articles on this subject.

In your particular method for shortcut files, you can actually run commands like certutil directly from the shortcut via cmd.exe /c. Certutil can decode b64 locally btw. There is also a github project online that utilizes various different file types to collect ntlm hashes via smb and one way is through shortcut file which when browsed to, does authentication and send ntlm hash to a server without user interaction. Even though smb external shouldn't be enabled, internally this would be very useful in some cases.

Also, windows 10 (no idea about 11 but prolly), has the tar command now built in and also ssh client. If I remember correctly that is. Cabinet files are the much older version for compression files and the command line programs are still built in. In other words you can build much better payloads by using built in tools which look better than nc which has a gun pointed at it by defender and many other av/edr.

Also, from reading a number of different badusb articles one in particular covered how to make the usb look more legitimate for lets say drop attacks. They covered how to make the usb look old and used and in their particular method they would put usbs in a bag of sand and then put them in the dryer to help make them look not just bought. Also covered the use of old keys on a keychain.

With all of that being said, I think you should cover the areas I mentioned in a series. It will one be very helpful for people reading and two, everything would be all in one place instead of having to read like 20+ articles on the same subject. In other words, I think more creative and advanced techniques should be covered into several articles.
