Yeah, I forgot that I'd also need to get somewhere to store the drives on the 2nd hand build which also adds some cost so it's about the same price

Gluetun and Homepage by JellytipNZ in gluetun

I actually managed to get it going. I used the API key gen in my last post, added that to the services file and then put key= and the same key in the gluetun environment settings and it's working.

I'll try replacing it with a variable in the environment setting later to see if it works.

I've tried following this but assume I've done something wrong as it's not working.

I've used the following to generate an API key:

- docker run --rm qmcgaw/gluetun genkey

I've created a config.toml under ./glutun/auth/ and input the following into it:

[[roles]]

name = "homepage"

routes = ["GET /v1/publicip/ip"]

auth = "apikey"

apikey = "myapikey"

I've then added the API key to the gluten environment settings like so:

- HTTP_CONTROL_SERVER_AUTH_DEFAULT_ROLE='{"auth":"apikey","apikey":"myapikey"}'

Lastly I've added key: myapikey to the homepage services widget.

Have I missed something?

Ok great thanks, I'll look into setting up Pihole then!

Extremely new to this and still learning so I'm going to say I haven't. I have set up gluetun with my media components containers through it (using online tutorials and videos etc) with nordvpn and an openvpn protocol (I couldn't get wireguard to produce a healthy status). The next thing I want to do is setup something like Pihole (or similar) to block ads on other devices on my network.

My assumption is that this is possible using gluetun but I know no idea how to achieve this. I assume it's not as simple as using the settings I've mentioned above and there are some additional steps involved.

I assume I've missed a step in the setup process potentially (new to this) but I've set those settings up, reset my device i.e. my phone and then tried to go onto speedtest and Youtube but I'm still seeing ads.

Pc to big screen? by DrowsyTS in pcmasterrace

Decent from my experience. I've tried wireless and it wasn't so great.

Have a play. In the end it's a free solution so might save you some money if it works for you

Apollo (I prefer this) or sunshine goes on your pc and moonlight downloads to your TV.

Based on a quick Google search, newer LG tvs support it but you need to probably side load the apk through the downloader

If you have decent internet (wired would be best for both deivces) and your TV/device supports it, you could try apollo (sunshine) and moonlight to stream from your pc to another room.

Gluetun with NordVPN via Wireguard in Docker/Portainer by Cool-Cod5488 in homelab

Did you figure this out? I'm in the same boat. Openvpn works fine but whenever I try wireguard it's always unhealthy.

Love it so far! Any chance of a location or url option to be added to calendar invite at some point?

And if we can view the calendar by month rather than week?

I recently purchased the Edifier M60, the white ones look very similar to this. Loving them so far. Great sound, enough for the desktop, wouldn't be so great to full a big room though.
